The truck design looks great! The simulation area is a cool idea, and I’m sure today’s kids would enjoy it, but I would not have found this set very fun to play with as a kid. I would have rather had tools or something related to the cars or a race stored in that area instead of the sim. Those prints though…yikes! I know the printing on some the minifigs hasn’t been opaque enough for a while but I don’t remember having prints that poorly executed on the sets themselves before. Lego needs to smarten up, too many other companies are catching up and surpassing Lego’s quality.

I honestly don't like the idea of the simulator bay - it makes this truck look more like a mobile F1 attraction you'd see at a fair or amusement park than something you'd see trackside. I would have much rather seen a mechanics bay with a pull-out trolley for tools and the like. Great review as always!

This truck strikes me more as a traveling F-1 experience. Fans wait in line to try the simulation and while they wait the side of the trailer sits open so the fans waiting in line can be so close to F-1 they can almost touch it.

This might be a good base for the FLAG truck, for my MoC KITT (my MoC truck wound up oversized, to fit KITT with my available parts). But it'd need to go on sale, to buy it for parts, & I'd need to find different trim pieces (think it was solid black, with a bit of yellow highlights & a chess knight), & rear wheels (but I might have those).

I'm currently sick so can't think straight when it comes to the price, but I will say this passes the "I'd have loved this as a kid!" test... even though kid me would also be bothered by that "yellow" printing. 2:44 - That tub piece is the one I brought up during one of your streams, where it's used for the $10 Red Sports Car set. It is a weird new and surprisingly large piece that you expect on a set like this, not a low end boxed set! As for this set, it kinda shares the same good stuff but also the same problems as the other sets of this type like the Yellow Delivery Truck; looks good, value is fine, but there's not much to do with it here. And those prints are really terrible; this may not be a collector's set but still, this set costs $100. Even if the value of the set is okay, it is still no excuse for below-par printing on any set, never mind one that costs so much.

I think it is a great playset, giving some room for fantasy and imagination. Prints, even in this kinda quality, are always welcome. 10 bucks less would be great, but discounts will sort that out. We´ve seen worse playsets in this price range. So no complaints from my side. Very detailed review. Thank you for showing it here!

As someone who sees the actual comments, season after season, I would not argue, but rather state factually, that your argument is extremely incorrect. Extreme sexism in the LEGO fandom and outright fear of female-appearing minifigures is very real and prevalent enough to deserve much more attention than I give to the issue. Most of the time I just delete/ban/report & move on. You just never see it on my videos, because I don't want you to have to. It's bad enough one person has to see the ugliness month after year after decade.

8:28 - I also don't like it, but I'm guessing they're doing it for easier build, durability and long lasting. My old lego racers set (8668 and 8354) stickers are cracking and falling apart by itself just because they were kept inside a plastic container, which turns out probably not a good place because there's no air circulation. 🥲 with printed pieces I guess kids can even play them in the bathtub to remake the 2024 Sao Paulo GP or something 😂

Thanks for the review Jang. Easily one of the best city sets of 2025 so far. Slick racing looks all over! Color scheme is delicious. $100 though? An extra $25 for the F1 license though? LOL That's a hard sell. I agree not a ton of play value. For those with some patience the price of this 18 wheeler will drop to $75 soon at other retailers just like Lego's big Yellow truck and trailer.

I like the look of this truck and trailer but I wish it was Speed Champions 8 wide compatible. Also not a fan of sticking 2 cars in with completely different colours, would rather see a Ferrari in there, even if it's just 1. The prints don't bother me that much, yes the colours could be better but I prefer them over stickers.

There is one flaw with the set: i was hoping that with the new 5th wheel piece they introduced last year they would standardize the trailer couplings so any semi truck could pull any semi trailer, like in the real world. But this truck sits one plate too low compared to last year's trucks and thus dont fit well with the other trailers. It is a fairly easy fix on the truck (adding an extra plate layer under the 5th wheel piece), but difficult to modify for the trailer.

Love me some F1 related stuff! I'm busy with a Rastar R/C model kit (not brick built) and debating getting their 1/8 scale RB19😅. Not a bad truck, simulator bit is a nice inclusion. Though I feel the pit stop or paddock sets are a lot more fun. Fun little Aston Martin car. That RB nose cone print though... Yikes. And the driver suits look bland. I don't expect real world sponsors but a bit more colour maybe?

As a Speed Champions completist, who is still missing 3 sets, including that Ferrari truck you compared this to, I am curious if the old 6-wide F1 SC cars would fit in this truck. I really like the look of this truck from the outside. Love how the cab can be worked on [BYOT - Bring Your Own Tools], and like how the car sim sways back and forth. But as you point out, there's not much more you can do. Like what do the 2 crew members do? One can hold a trophy, but no tools to work on the car? Oh, my bad! There's a wrench and a tire gun. Hmm.. I think as a kid, I'd want something more with this set. Like the sides can open up - almost be like a roof above the area next to the truck to work on the cars. I think the sim area should have instead included a removable Craftsman like tool drawer unit, and maybe a spare tyre, and obviously more tools. Maybe the car jack [if that 2-piece part is still in their inventory?[ Almost feel like one entire side of the truck didn't need to open up - just one side swings open like a gull wing door, and the back with the nicely integrated ramp. It's a slick design, and a nice display model, but for 8+, I think kids might just race the cars around and ignore the 2 crew minifigs and ignore playing with the truck much. And really Lego needs to be hit with complaints via customer feedback form about the box art not showing the accurate colors of their prints. The Star Wars ARC-170 is even worse, but still, the large truck graphics and the not-Red Bull wing and nose are not accurate depictions of what you really get.

I fall outside the target market so my opinion is not super duper valuable, but I wish they just went brand less on both / created a fake brand for the rb just to match the livery. The two cars feel too mismatched for me. Otherwise I like the sizing; it feels like a modern version of the 90s era race cars.

I fully agree, no brands on both would be better, mayve go for lego in-universe brands, Octan comes to mind. Or release an 18+ sticker sheet set with redbull logos, that works too.

The entire point of this larger collaboration between Lego and F1 is so that both parts can benefit from it. Lego can lure some F1 fans to buy their toys, and F1 can gain a few more fans, especially in the younger age groups. So, of course, they both want to show off the actual F1 scene with the real teams, to maximize that cross-over potential. I'm actually a little bit surprised that they went with generic figures here, but I guess they save real characters for the much more realistic SpeedChampions and other collectible sets.

It is a very good-looking set. Unfortunately it is not a stand-alone set, it needs other sets from the theme. And that's probably part of the overall design for this batch of sets.

Given the helmet prints aren't representative of any specific driver, the fact that the faces aren't really doesn't matter much to me, had there been specific helmet prints (such as Max's) I would have been annoyed if the headprint didn't try to represent said driver, as you said it's a kids toy and it's not meant to be anyone specific

6:41 I’m not sure the complaint about play value is fair. It’s a truck and a couple race cars. So we’re starting with a pretty limited world of possibilities. We’re not going to get steering or adjustable ride height in this scale. Other than steering, the set hits all the expected play features: • opening cab doors • removable cab roof for access • Openable trailer for loading • ramp for loading • cars actually fit in trailer • detachable trailer • kickstand for trailer • openable trailer sides for access And then it adds on top of that • hinged cab and engine detailing • sleeper cab • removable/stowable ramps • racing sim tucked in trailer • racing sim has movement • spectator screen for the racing sim To me, that’s already a couple details (sleeper cab, engine access, removable ramps ) and a major feature (simulator) above and beyond what I’d expect for this set given its basic premise. What additional play value would you like to see?

Yeah it's two $10 cars and an $80 truck that does nothing but carry them. Like I said, could have included some tools for roleplay of work on the cars, a little analytics & testing lab for roleplay of R&D, anything interactive to contribute to play other than carrying the cars (which a flatbed costing half as much could do as well as not better due to easier access).

It's a travesty the simulator is considered a major feature. Half the features listed were already expected from what we saw with 2024's trucks and some are just slightly larger features broken down into 2. What breaks the deal for me is you really can't fit anything else other than the tiny F1 cars in there (I wasn't expecting it to fit Speed Champions but even for City standards...) I don't know. Maybe my expectation was too high waiting for this set.

The F1 carrier truck from 1996 carried three cars and the sides opened up to reveal loads of tools. There was even a working jack. The 2005 Ferrari truck contained multiple pushcarts full of tools, a pitstop rack and spare car parts, not to mention an entire crew. Even the 2015 Speed Champions one contained stuff to simulate a pitstop. This one only has the tools the figs have in their hands.

I bought both this and the Lego truck. I built this first and loved it. The Lego truck then felt a bit disappointing by comparison. It is really empty, has less moving parts, the hot dog stand is really small and basic, plus I didn't need yet another forklift, so many sets come with them.

That's a really nice looking truck. The prints on the trailer are great. Cars are good too. I agree that it's a shame that it doesn't have more to do. Full set of tools etc like you said. Love your reviews Jang. Sad to see prints being so low quality on a premium priced toy. On the female minifigures topic - couldn't one argue that this misrepresents reality though? Feels to me like lying to children, sorry. When I bought the Lion Knights castle i was kinda disappointed to see half of the army being female, also the queen and the knight was female. Felt very forced to me. For a castle, target audience will always be boys obviously, no matter what you do. It has always been like this - because when things are unregulated and you dont have an agenda - this is what it naturally comes to. Theres toys for boys and toys for girls. You can try to make it inclusive you make compromises basically and it lessens its value. Why not make 2 toys, something for boys and something for girls, but make it absolutely best? And a boy toy - a castle - should represent what castles were in medieval times - and boys - the target audience, will find the male minifigures most relatable - and accurate. And yes it does feel like rewriting history. Just an opinion - I may be wrong. But as you said, LEGO is amazing because of the ability to just swap the heads, you are right about that. Hope instead of "banning/removing" this comment you see my point, even if you dont agree. And i hope you dont hate me for this "hateful" comment.
