As a New Yorker you may want to make it more dingy and decrepit so that it better captures what New York is all about. But seriously this is some incredible detail! The sidewalk life is so vibrant, and your signage is really cool. I also like the three lane one-way streets. I don't think I've ever seen that in a LEGO city. For that "Shades" sign, do you have similarly shaped tiles in another color? Perhaps changing out the colors on just the "S"s would make it a bit more legible.

As I continue on with the sidewalk details, I very much planned to add more dingy and decrepidness. 🙂 I've only been to New York once (2002), and I completely looked like a tourist, it was alot to take in. I have referenced alot of city walk videos of new york in an attempt to capture the vibe and feel. Thanks for the great comment, and thanks for watching.

@@stevegrant4760 Haha, I was only kidding about the dinginess as a shot at my city. Your city build is very realistic with potholes and such. I always like to see realism because as we know there are unfortunately always sections of cities that are in a state of disrepair, especially in commercial areas or under expressway overpasses. To the latter point, I noticed on another video your highway, which is incredible and also something I haven't seen elsewhere. It kind of reminds me in a way of the BQE which was built with antiquated plans with narrow lanes and a lack of a shoulder in many sections. Plus your inclusion of eighteen-wheelers in the left lane reminds me a lot of driving in and around the city. Everything is tightly packed with no room to breathe; you're going nowhere and you'll have to like it because there's no other option. The fire escapes on various buildings are also fantastic and must've been very labor intensive to create. The subway dots depicting all of the lines flowing into and out of Times Square is amazing too. There's just a ton of uniqueness to what you've built.

The city is coming along quite well! It almost has a cyberpunk vibe to it, however that might just be my portrayal of it.

Hi, the “S” in shades, you can use the round tile the other way so the point is going towards the “H” rather than pointing to the left. That’ll give a little definition from the S+H letters.
