This entire city is STUNNING. It's one thing to have an impressive collection of sets, but to be able to have such an eye for creating those moc buildings, promenades, railways, etc that bring it all together, that's what has us all coming back to each of your videos. Keen to see what solution you come up with for the new modulars! (But ofc any solution that preserves some of those existing city scenes is ideal)

I like the Idea to expand the city on the shelf where now the Jedi-Temple is. Would be a great opportunity to create a nice new spot. Maybe a good place for the coming Museum? Avangers Tower surely behind the Ghostbusters HQ. It is such a tall building, that woult look great

Thanks for the ideas! Now I just have to wait to try them ☺️😂

I actually feel like the downtown area would be the best spot for the Museum. I'd Swap out the Bank and the Fire Station. That makes the Museum very central. Put the bank where the Corner Garage is, move the Garage to where the Diner is and then shift all the following buildings over to take over where the area with the Jedi Temple.
@FelipeVinhao Жыл бұрын
The only thing that came to my mind, specifically for the Avengers Tower. In the moves, it's built on top of a cut of MetLife building. You could make one of those façade-only background buildings in full depth, and build the Avengers Tower on top of it. But about the new modular, I'm sorry but I have the same dilemma... 😅

Looks great. I know you said you’re not too keen to move the mini Modular’s on the right next to the Jedi Temple. But I think the museum would look good there, with park style space out the front for a cafe/coffee. I think it would have good proportions too. Love to see the next city update with trains running and lights on.

I’ll see what I can do with the trains and lights 😃. Thank you for the suggestions too!

Your city is wonderful! I hate to say it, but it looks like removing the Jedi temple is the best option. Maybe it could get a nice living room display area, maybe in a window like a Christmas tree? :)

I think you could put the Museum behind the promenade, to hide the back wall a little and keep the promenade
@MrBookieboo Жыл бұрын
I think I’ll try that.

The mountains can go higher if you use the space in front of them. That or move the Jedi temple. The temple provides less space, and it would be off to the side. In front of the mountains or getting a new space. Still one of the best Lego cities out there. I looks amazing.

Thanks so much! I have a feeling I’m going to be tinkering with things for awhile.

The easiest way forward is up, like you said. Make another level on the back wall where the Ghostbuster HQ is all the way to the Jedi Temple. This will give you the room for these and then some.

I think you might be right

Hey Mr. Bookie boo. Love the city and love your work. I am also facing a similar problem with running out of room here in the Lego den. I see your dilemma. You could move Ninjago land up by the mountains. Gives it more like a monk feel in the mountains. But that's a lot of work and I do like it. I say leave it there. The Avengers tower. I think you're right with putting it near the daily bugle and besides Ghostbusters. It is very tall and it will fit in nicely over there. I don't think you should delete the road tunnel either. When it comes to corner sets they have to stay corner sets. I hate when they get squished together with sets that are front view only. When it comes to expanding your city. I do think you should replace the Jedi temple with more tables and expand. You can also fit more future Modulars.
@MrBookieboo Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for all of the ideas! I agree, I’m not a fan of the corner modulars squished together.
@someboringperson Жыл бұрын
I don't know if you've seen, but the modular has been officially announced. It's a museum that is 48 studs wide. I think that would work great standing alone on that platform on the right with the little plaza in front of it.
@MrBookieboo Жыл бұрын
Hmmm, good thought. It might look nice up there.
@rowanabrahams7489 Жыл бұрын
You could have a board running across from the ninjago temple towards the red train, similar to what Bricksie has done to his tables. This could be a removable piece of table that allows you still gain access to the bulk of your city.

I might suggest bringing the area where the passenger train is forward. 2 options with that, bringing the train forward 2 baseplates. Yes, you would have to re-configure your train, but moving it forward 2 baseplates would give you possibly 10 baseplates worth of expansion space. Option 2. Moving that same area forward 1 baseplate, and turning your passenger train into a Subway, rather then a reg train. Since you have your Red passenger train, this might give you more Varity in "types" of trains.

Tunnel in between Sanctum and Brick bank. Might be cool if you MOC a building for that space. Some how keeping the tunnel as the 1st floor of the building, but then you have 2 floors above it. Kind of like a Building version of the Drive through Trees in Yosemite. I might also suggest this against the wall over near your Pet Shop/Grand Emporium. That way, for your fav. view, you don't see the white wall down at the end.
@36Brix Жыл бұрын
In regards to New Avengers tower, I would def. put it on the back side where you have Ghostbusters fire house. Maybe have it on a platform to raise it up a bit so you can see more of it, But all in all, I think that would be a great location for it. The most Iconic part of Avengers tower is the top. The bottom is pretty boring, lol. but you still want to scope of it towering over the other builds.

Maybe put display shelf’s under the city tables that way you can still them then remove the current shelf’s and put another table for the city up. Just my humble idea though

I think others have already mentioned it but I think putting Avengers Tower behind the Daily Bugle would look great. As for the new Museum modular as much as I like the temple I think doing the step up you mentioned and placing the museum there would look great. Then you could add MOCs or other modulars that walking around is a requirement. Just my 2 cents.

What a great dilemma to have! too many awesome sets!😄It is definitely not going to be an easy decision! I feel like the Avengers Tower could go somewhere back by the Bugle, it might look best with height variations there. I'm just not sure where you could displace the other buildings. There is that space between the mountain and the back buildings, but that's a big sacrifice of workspace. I'm sure you'll figure it out though, your city is incredible!! 🔥🔥🔥

You could build a all new street in the space you have the gohstbusters, if you think in real life you can't see all the buildings from a poinbt of view, you have to walk a city and discover nice places, so I would say start a new road on the back, you already have a tunel coming from the mountains.
@MrBookieboo Жыл бұрын
Great idea! That area is definitely not optimized.

This is a head scratcher for me, so I really can't help with placement this year. I am even struggling to find a good spot for it in my city since I have it prepaid so I plan to pre-order it next Saturday over double points as my early birthday present to myself this year since the modular comes out 3 weeks before my birthday in December. It's better to have it ahead of time than miss it, especially with double points when you're also building points for the Avengers tower that's coming which if I do the modular on top of the points I have which currently is about $200 in points and $200 in cash set aside specifically for the avengers tower set so double points on the prepaid modular plus my birthday set my family still needs to get and that would get me to $455 total for the avengers tower between rewards points and cash saved so far.

@MrBookieboo I know. I have enough city room at the moment, but I don't have room for any of the other sets I want to try outside of the DeLorean, T Rex breakout, and Indiana Jones temple escape set and maybe the new Spiderman helmet coming in January and the Spiderman art from August other then those sets I am limited to the large fairground sets and the modulars both marvel and standard going forward.

@bricklover2258 I’ve been limiting my purchases for awhile due to space. It’s sad but also forces me to carefully consider which sets I really want. A lot of sets have been creeping out into other parts of the house too ☺️🙈

@MrBookieboo I hear you on that last part. My Lego art sets art in my bedroom while my mom has the Lego pickup truck to build, which will be displayed somewhere else in our house since I only have 3 display spots at the moment open and all are taken the 4th spot is currently a catch haul for random things that needs dusting.
