LEGO Creator Land Rover Classic Defender 40650 Review

The LEGO Creator Land Rover Classic Defender 40650 is a great little set! I love the apricot color, and the inclusion of a minifigure is quite nice! However, being so tiny, it doesn't offer much special beyond that. I really hope that, in future small LEGO cars like this, there will be suspension done with rubber bands.

The lack of Speed Champions categorization was an odd move, but I am looking forward to picking up one of these!

The one thing that I don't like in this set is that the driver is in the middle and not on the right side and that there's no detailed interior/seat backs etc like in speed champions and because of that it's something that's somehow between the speed champions and the city level of quality. And BTW there was a time where such off-road cars had system bricks with springs for wheel attachment, so no need for rubber band suspension.

I have a lego city car suspension piece from like 30 years ago that would cost almost nothing to produce but they dont make it anymore. Please dont make excuses for lego or lower your expectations as a customer. I really like this set, but a mini lego suspension piece totally would be possible. Just google lego 2484c01
