Pretty happy with this episode. Like all series openers, it took me forever to film and after I'd finished it I made the rest of the series in about three weeks. Isn't the universe mad? The script is good, the usual 'post regenerative trauma' which gets so repetitive on the actual show (in my opinion) is rather neatly swerved along with the tricky 'Why did you explode and change your face?' Doctor/companion conversation which I was not looking forward to writing. That's what Jack Harkness is here for, everybody.
Huge thanks to Phillip Clarkson for his excellent Modular Buildings which also appear in the series finale. Phillip, you're a Master Builder.
Here we go. A new era is about to begin, both on my channel and on the actual show, and I for one am ready. Hope you all enjoy this new series of LEGO Doctor Who!
(Those hot pixels in the dark scenes are getting really embarrassing. No amount of messing with the aperture will get rid of them. They are eternal. Someone help.)

Yeah Capaldi was definitely an influence when writing her as was Colin Baker. I liked the idea of the sarcastic quick to temper space traveller and thought I could do my own take on it 😄
