There’s an app you can get that allows you to scan the QR code on the box that will tell you exactly what figure it is. I did it with series 26 and easily got all of them from the same lot.

For those that were interested in knowing, in a full set of the CMF figs now, there are 3 complete sets in a box with every 3 figs being identical. There are 2 layers in each box, 6 different figs on top, 6 different ones on the bottom. Enjoy!

Going into a store is 100% the best chance to get a variety of minifigures (if you intend to buy multiple). I picked up 21 boxes in my local store and I got 9 out of 12 mini figures (according to the websites which scan the QR codes) I did get 4 of one mini figure and a few 3x, which left me skeptical because only 3 should be in one entire box of 36, but that could also be where someone’s picked up from one box and put back in another?! Anyway if you order 3 online, the person packing will likely just take the first 3 that are together, but just like you’ve mentioned if you pick more scattered you’ll definitely have a better chance at getting different ones!

If you want to know what figs you get before opening or buying (for apple users use) Minifig Scan It is a yellow icon with a black shadow in middle will easily scan the code and tell you what one it is (as long as the code is the non micro scannable one, otherwise micro scan might be off)

Found a mostly untouched Space CMF box and found out the same thing, all the minifigs were grouped together in 3s so grabbing consecutive minifigs would result in a lot of duplicates.
