With the add-ons it looks not just like an expansion of the Eldorado but like a hybrid MOC of Eldorado and the old (Redcoat) Imperial Trading Post set from the 90's.

Back when I pre-ordered this set, Lego actually accidently sent me 2 of it! Was planning on combining both sets too but I ended up traiding one set with a friend for his barracuda bay set

I still have my original so getting the new one was not a priority.... This is how I wanted the remake to go... enhance everything.... yet keeping it recognizable. The ship in particular is just excellent. At first I wondered why you didn't have 2 merchants thinking it was the same... but then seeing it really feels like a good scale for a merchant ship for this set. Its too bad this set will retire so early.

That’s so cool! I’m planning on buying that set one day and the ominous isle set to recreate the pirates of the Caribbean attraction. Maybe you can also do a speed build of the ominous isle set.
