The Boeing F/A-18E is a twin-engine, multirole fighter aircraft that entered fleet service with the United States Navy in 1999. This LEGO model has a retractable landing gear and space for a single minifigure pilot. Building instructions are at the end of the video.

@@LegoProvoBricks even the official razor crest, obviously much bigger than this, doesn't have retractable landing feet, so the fact you got the feature so smoothly into a tiny plane like this is completely baller

I'm still amazed at how I pulled it off. My initial version had a removable piece with wheels. Then gradually I started making more room in the body of the plane until it was clear that folding wheels was possible :D

I love these kinds of builds. Mostly because I can make an entire naval air base just by making a few more naval aircraft to go with the F/A-18E (super hornet)

Good job! the only thing a would change is the landing gear because if you hard enough land it the gear would fold up. And I would also add the little hook for landing on the carriers.

Thank you. Sorry I do not. If you using LEGO pick a brick, I recommend selecting the specific color and shape, then go through list and select all the ones that will be needed for the build. Then select other shape until everything is covered.

Thank you! The balance is held by the flap that opens on the bottom which prevents plane from tilting back. It needs to be open.

It is about 1/2 scale compared to the minifigure, if that is what you are asking.

I believe it was discontinued, but this is the new piece which will look a lot better on this plane because it is curved #35375 I got the dark clear one from the recent mini Slave I LEGO set #75344 :)
