Let's unbox and explore the Castle Bed and Breakfast by LEGO Friends 42638.
This building set contains 1311 bricks including Renee, Zac, Olly, and Aliya mini dolls. A playable Victorian home complete with foyer, dining room, check in lobby, two bedrooms, sitting room, bathroom, attic, and balcony can be constructed with the bricks provided. Parts are packaged into 10 groups for easy build, and three printed building guides and Brick Separator are included with this set. The Castle Bed and Breakfast retails for $99.99 USD and available June 1, 2024.

I have been making LEGO how to build tutorials for many years. This is just a hobby for an adult fan of LEGO (AFOL) to relieve stress from work after a long day. Creations involve LEGO homes, furniture, accessories, vehicles such as cars and trucks, campers, trailers, fifth wheels, restaurants, and many more. All my ideas are from my imagination are are preserved on KZbin, not only for myself to preserve my ideas, but to share my LEGO building skills and techniques with the LEGO community.
All my content is safe for work and is free of offensive language and explicit content to ensure other AFOLs share my content with their families and friends. Most of my videos are intended for older LEGO builders in general and are not recommended for viewers under the age of 13 due to use of small LEGO bricks and parts.
Where do I get my LEGO bricks? It depends on what bricks I need and if bulk purchasing is available. I source from several places such as LEGO's Pick-a-Brick, Bricklink, Brick Owl, and/or online auctioning sites. Basically I search around for the best deal.
Do you take requests for future LEGO builds, tutorials, and creations? It depends on the build, but the creation has to be constructed using official LEGO bricks. It can be anything LEGO city related, wilderness, campers, caravans, vehicles, houses, etc.. I may not fulfill all requests submitted. So keep that in mind.

Some of my builds are preserved in written building guides and instruction manuals. The builder can simply download a PDF file of the same LEGO building tutorial to a smart device or computer to build at his or her own speed and leisure. My goal is to have all my creations preserved in PDF format. This is a daunting task and may take several years to complete. If there is a LEGO builds you would like to see in PDF form, let me know. Larger MOCs and tutorials may take several months to complete due to my work schedule.

Considering that this is Friends, they went pretty lowkey on the colors for the castle....No hot pink and purple. lol. I really like the look of the building.

Friends doesn’t use a lot of hot pink and purple… no idea what you’re on about. Did you even see literally any set from past several years? The botanical garden was a f**king hit. The adventure camp tree house? you obviously have a gigantic bias already if you assume “OH! GURL LEGO??? MUST BE PANK!!!” 🙄🙄🙄🙄

@@ryanb4940 In the past they did, they got me back into lego. I'm saying that I like the toned down colors. It makes it easier to use the peices in mocs. Also, I never said anything about "Oh Gurl Lego" Obviously you did not read my post. I am a girl. Prank indeed. Move on please.

I dont collect friends lego apart from the botanical garden set I have. When i saw the picture of the bed and breakfast I thought it was gorgeous. Definitely want this one

This building reminds me of the Magic Castle Club in LA

They clearly based this castle hotel on some of the chateaux of the northern French countryside. It's exquisitely detailed and French through and through. It would have been better had they included a window of two in that fourth floor garret area, but I suppose you could easily add those windows.

@@jaystepher indeed... though I am no master builder. But I am glad this set does not have a lot of pink colors... bright but not pink and things of the sort. For me, one thing I would need to add is a dinner table at least 6 or 8 studs long to be like in the Tim Burton Batman when he had that long dinner table. That was iconic for me in his mansion.

On the whole,I'm not really interested in this set. Just kind of meh. I probably wouldn't have even bothered commenting but KZbin loves engagement so here we are. But since I am commenting,I'd like to throw out an idea. I call it "Castle Town". Basically,you get a bunch of small sets that make up a medieval village. 10-20 dollar sets. And if you get all of them,you can use the pieces to build a castle. I think it'd work cause you can just pick and choose or buy the whole bunch and build the castle. I'd make the sets available for about 2 years so everyone has a chance to get them all. What do you think?

@@jaystepher I often by non-Lego bricks. Dollar Tree bricks are the lowest I'll go. Block Tech's pretty good. Zuru Max has put out some dinosaur themed sets. Might be worth looking into.
