Hi Lasse, Just checking back in with a follow up on the ball pump. I have been using your design in the "Great Ball of China" at shows and it has run almost flawlessly for over 70 hours. A couple of jams rectified by blowing out plastic dust has been the worst trouble it has had. Thanks again for sharing this design.

Thanks for sharing the instructions for this build. I've built one pump using them with a much taller output chimney and it has been working flawlessly. The mechanism is great.

it sucks that the Bionicle balls won't work on the pump cuz they are slightly little big than the regular Lego ball

could you possibly set up a bag on the lego website so we can buy all the pieces together?

Hi Lasse! Your pump is a great build. I've built two from the instructions you've shared. Thank you very much for sharing them. One question: Is there a easy, clean, less frustrating way to insert the sliding pump arm? At the end of the LDD instructions, it doesn't show how to insert--the arm appears in the casing without the insertion process. I'm hoping that you have some words of wisdom on this.

I had the same experience just now. I used a brick separator to "slice" the largest bottom plate away from the rest of the build. Then disconnect the two sides of the mechanism where they join (the two 5x3 lift arms). Slide the left side of the mechanism in to the left. Slide the right side of the mechanism in to the right and twist the two lift arms until the two black pins reconnect the two halves back together. Re-attach the bottom base plate.

Did Lasse send you his link to his updated instructions? Much easier, and he addresses the pump arm issue I had separately within the new directions.

Nice! 👍

Are those official Lego balls or something else?
@LasseDeleuran7 жыл бұрын
They are official parts. They have latest been released in Friends set - although with a different color and pattern. Just remember not to use the Bionicle balls because their diameter is larger than 2 bricks.

Lasse Deleuran how did you get so many; did you buy them from somewhere like bricklink? Lego want £0.66p each for the orange ones! 😕

I got some of these today.. I don't have any GBCs yet to test on but hopefully they'll be good to start with (they seem decent, minimal flat spots where the holes are) :-) www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00OCW3QNK/

Ouch. I bought them before they got expensive. Back in 2010. I suppose times have changed since then!

That is a good solution. You can see it discussed for GBC here: www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/86686-gbc-lego-balls-vs-chinese-beads/
