I'm not a fan of seeing those big gears on moving sets like this. If they can be covered with plates so you don't see them but can still have the action that would be much better in my opinion. I bought winter set 40416 this year with the double skaters with three big gears showing and I don't care for it. I'll rebuild it without the gears and just have the two figures stationary and think it will look better.

I agree that the gears do look out of place in both of the builds. i prefer using techinc to hide the mechanics to make the models look seamless.
