This year's Advent Calendar is an improvement over the last two, and I will get this one. It's winter/Christmas themed, while the 2021 and 2022 ones were games that had nothing to do with winter or Christmas.

Glad this time we've gone back to the minifig sized builds rather than microbuilds. Love how this adds to the Hogsmeade Village set, and nicely captures the winter in the third film. While Ron's hat is a little inaccurate, I'm fine with it as it'd be asking too much for a new mould for it. But Hermione, Harry and Draco's are pretty faithful from the scene by the snowy Shrieking Shack. Shame they didn't give Harry his invisibility cloak as it's what he uses to sneak up on Malfoy & how he hears about Pettigrew & Sirius in the Three Broomsticks. Also so glad they finally made a Aberforth Dumbledore figure, and fitting too with the Hog's Head being the first meeting for Dumbledore's Army which is around winter time. Would've been even better if he had leg printing, or a goat. Baffled how it's taken this long to have a printed piece for the poster of Sirius, imagine if they had done it back in 2018 instead of the sticker. Then we also wouldn't have had to use the boy who lived tile for so many sets. But I still like this overall, glad they're utilising the winter/Christmas scenes from the films, as the last two ACs weren't Christmassy at all. Already hoping for next year they theme it around Christmas at 12 Grimmauld Place or at the Burrow.

I find this better than the 2022 Star Wars advent calendar. All it was was basically just micro builds.

Ikr the one in Rivendell is just the generic old man face that’s been in sooo many sets. Don’t get me wrong it works but sir Ian mckellan has very distinctive facial features

8:46 the legs are different though. And now you can put one outside with the hammer and one inside (upstairs or behind the bar). 11:04 it's better if you got the snow wizard too from a few years back! :D

I love the Advent Calendars. The tiny builds are always so clever and fun. Many years ago I started a tradition with my brother and his family. I get them the Star Wars Advent Calendar and they send me a picture every day of what they got. Then my best friend, who doesn't really have any siblings or extended family wanted in on the fun and surprised me with the City Advent Calendar. And being away from everyone for weeks at a time as a truck driver, these really helped keep channels open with friends and family.

Aberforth head looks like Gandalf head that you could replace the Rivendell one which does not have bread printing and more accurate wrinkles and eyebrows in my opinion.

IMO this is the best Advent Calendar of the year! OFC it’s not the best but it’s still better than the Marvel and the Star Wars calendar! My ranking/Rating 1. Harry Potter: Amazing minifigures, neat builds, and has the best Christmas vibe Overall 7.9/10 2. City: Not bad builds, with minifigures like Santa and Mrs. Santa, still not the best Overall: 7/10 3. Marvel: Has some good builds, but the minifigures are not good or they are just reuse (like Wong) And it only has 2 exclusive minifigures Overall: 5/10 4. Star Wars: Horrible builds and only 4 or 5 minifigures Overall: 3/10
