This does NOT cover everything in the Library Backroom. I have the Remastered Version on the PS4 and I STILL see a Gold Brick Arrow. I already took care of the 3 Sorting hats to get the one in the middle. The arrow is pointing at the left side of the room, next to the left of the doors that don't open and to the right of the 2 decks. What do I do to get this Gold Brick? This is the only one I'm missing.

We played 1-4 on Ps3 long before the remastered game was released so it is quite possible that it isn't exact.. however, we have had TONS of experience where the game will point you in the wrong direction with those minikit/gold brick/red brick finders... If you figure out one way or the other, could you let us know if it was a mistake in the finder, or if there is an additional brick there. That would be awesome if you could help us and other viewers out.

HappyThumbsGaming I think it's a glitch because you would get the Hufflepuff crest piece when playing the restricted section level of year 1 in kind of almost that same spot technically

It's okay O'Fearlesshail the Fearless. I figured it out! The last Gold Brick was in the Black Lake. I kept overlooking on how to get back to the Black Lake and then I figured it out and nabbed my final Gold Brick. And then it was just a matter of finding the remainder of the Character Tokens and purchasing them and I managed to 100% Years 1-4. I'm now playing Years 5-7.

O'Fearghail the Fearless It's a glitch, bro. I noticed it, too. As soon as I shut off the Crest Locator, I saw the arrow vanish. After I snagged the one from the Black Lake, I had all 200 Gold Bricks.

If you see a gold brick arrow in the library but you already cleared everything out, try turning off hogwarts crest detector off in the extras, its a glitch.

Earlier Lego games definitely had some issues with the detectors. We rarely ever used them as they can send you on a wild chase..

so I did something. I went in in year 3 with Tom riddle, moaning myrtle and cat hermione, and I jumped up and shot the ghost, then the yellow book fell and nothing came out. I'm not sure if I should try and come back when I am able to make the aging potion. also i dont know about the glitch if you don't go in with harry potter.

If you have Snape or any adult dark arts character you don't need the aging potion to go through the door. Just walk on through.

I have a tragic story to tell you. I own the Nintendo Switch version, and I was so close to finishing the game, around 97% I think. I was about to do the library... And there were so many nasty glitches in the room, I just couldn’t get them. The game would crash after I picked collectibles up, my character would clip through everything, game would crash every time I leave the room, and you know that bookcase that needs Hermione to open that spawns a library cart vehicle? When I open it, the cart is stuck in the ground and can’t move it. When I try to get it unstuck by automatically destroying the vehicle by causing it to turn red and blow up, the game crashes. It was a mess. I haven’t touched the game since, and I plan to restart soon on a new save file, and I hope this nasty glitch does not happen again next time I go to the library.

Steven Acosta yes. but I was wrong. it isn't glitched. the yellow arrow appears even if u collect everything in the room. I took the chance and kept playing, collecting everything following the rest of the vids on the channel and I got all of them. hope this helps.

We DO NOT trust those detectors. Often lead you on a goose chase... Our best advice is to check the Quick Links for the Gold Bricks in this area, and see if you got them all. Hope this helps!

Ah wonderful, I've got the Lego Harry Potter collection for Nintendo switch. So nice, to have an unpolished remake port of a pair of games that were pretty damn janky in the first place. Every time I click return to Hogwarts, it places me in the defense against the dark arts classroom for some reason, which is super dark and full of defunct character token and gold brick detector arrows

Wait, I lied. Not about getting dumped in the wrong room when returning to Hogwarts (dev probably misclicked by one in the list of spawn locations). But about the arrows being defunct, they are perfectly functional, just a bit janky cuz they point towards the items location in 'game space' rather than adhering to the euclidean illusion the level design is trying to maintain, but I digress. My dumbass never bothered to go into the 'obviously a passageway' door under the stairs in the DAtDA classroom, there's a freaking massive room through there, with three character tokens and a gold brick, which unfortunately leaves one character token left unaccounted for, it's going to be a bitch and a half to sweep through Hogwarts a third time. Ugh, scratch that too, shot in a random direction and accidentally hit a blue book that I missed, thus unlocking pavarti patil. It just never ends with this game.

Have you been following our playlist? We always recommend following our order (STORY/Prepare for FREE PLAY/FREE PLAY/FREE ROAM) as it will almost guarantee you have everything you need to complete the game to 100%! Hope this helps!

Have you tried restarting your system and reloading the level? Often a simple restart will correct loading bugs/glitches like it seems you might have found. Hope this helps!

in the second part of the library I have a gold brick indicator on the side where the black magic thing was right on the bookcase but not able to figure out how to get it I have all the other ones I've been through the whole entire game I turned off the gold brick in Decatur exit out the game went back an extra alligator and brake indicator back on and it's still saying it's in the second on the left side of the door and I cannot seem to find it if someone please help me I'd appreciate it I've got all the bricks and the gold bricks store and this is the only break that I am missing and I'm missing one character token because I cannot get to this last gold brick
