From my experience shelves hung using a French cleat system are much stronger as it spreads the weight over a much greater area. If not familiar with this, it is a bracket with angle and another bracket with mating angle is on the back of shelf. These are often used to hang cabinets on wall.

I love how they were able to keep every named piece printed and glow them in the dark while keeping it reasonably inexpensive and I love the buildable boat too.

Someone else mentioned it already, but the Toggler (that's the brandname) Snaptoggle heavy duty toggle bolts will due the trick. Easy to install, and holds up to 280lbs in drywall. Anchors generally just suck for heavy weight.

Yea bricksie. I agree with you. For this set, we should do something really creative for it! And since you are displaying it with the Titanic, why not change the ship in the globe, to the Titanic!

You should build a base with reddish brown bricks, use some nice gold tiling around the perimeter of the base, and just leave it on the table beside your work station! Cos I think that there's where globes usually are, on the table,no?

Yeah, as others have said, I think that brackets under the shelves that hold them up is the way to go. I have several shelves like that which hold all my UCS sets. I can send you a photograph or two if you wish. Just let me know.

Think the best option would use a small piece of plywood and attach it to the wall. Then you can screw into the plywood using wood screws to hold up those shelves. The other option is using those long lag bolts. They are rated for over 100lbs. Nice thing they have long screws that can go deep into the wall.

Not sure how long your screws are but drywall anchors only work when the screw is fully engaged with the full length of the anchor so it spreads the plastic bits. Looking at what is visible it looked as though the anchors weren't set far enough into the wall. The face of the anchor should be flush with drywall to ensure the plastic nubs on the backside expand to provide support.

Well done with the build, placement wise instead of putting it on a shelf could it be motorized and made a center piece of the amusement park at lot like the Epcot center at Disney World. With the changes you have planned for that area maybe a designated base plate there could be a great display solution. Also I live all your videos and it has reignited my LEGO fascination after many years - well done to both you and. Mrs Bricksie👍🏻

Or you can just extend your trim from the titanic till you hit the next stud and then put your shells and anchors through the trim piece and it will be stronger or you can attach the left side of your bookshelf to make it even stronger

replace your drywall with 1/2" plywood and you can bolt the stuff wherever you want. or go over it, just make sure your 3" anchor screws go into the framework of your building. if you have solid mortar and block behind that use tapcons and furring strips right over it, and hang them with a 1/2" gap in the rear of the shelf.....what would i know

Hey Jordan , I tried to post a link to Home Depot , however either You Tube does not allow links or your channel will not allow a link . Anyway , simple solution is to just head to HD and buy 2 shelf brackets . You can find plain or decorative , as well as a variety of color opinion and sizes . Good luck !! Dreamer 
