🤠 Indiana Jones is looking for a precious gemstone, but he's not the only one to crave it...
This video is our first "real" brickfilm (a stop motion video with Lego bricks and minifigures), and we made it between 2009 and 2012.
The only Lego animation we had made before this is our Death Proof parody. We are now planning to make some more animations that pay tribute to Quentin Tarantino.
But in case you are asking yourself the question, we actually do have plans to make Indiana Jones and the Mystical Gemstone PART 2! 😁

Holy cow!! stop-motion adventure films can be really difficult because they require a much more complex script than most of the "war films." That said, you nailed it! Lighting, timing, camera angles, little comic skits, all of it was excellent. I to am waiting for part 2, but take your time. If it's going to be better than this you've got a really big goal ahead if you! Well done!

Really good. Perfectly captures the action of Indiana Jones, with the charm of Lego. Best version is the original soundtrack edit. It's a shame the copyright holders have to ruin something that was obviously done with love for the source material.

I remember seeing the old version back in 2013 and loving it. Recently, I've had a huge Indiana Jones nostalgia and I was coming back to old Lego stop-motions, but I was sad, because I couldn't find this one as I could not remember the title. I just remembered some jokes like the lightsaber or Nazi flag. Today this popped up on my front page and I'm so happy :D. Gotta say - it hasn't aged a day and it's so good to revisit it after all these years. The only sad thing is the lack of Indiana Jones music in this one. Those darn copyright claims...

How did you create the big desert landscape. Was it in camera? Or added in post production?

Both. We created a real big desert ground on a polystyrene board, but then in some scenes we added CG elements like palm trees, bushes, or the mountain in the background.
