The J-1 Proton Cannon was among the heaviest of walking droid units. It required other battle droids to manually reload each shell, and it delivered a devastating payload. Despite its slow movements, the cannon was still very effective at combatting air power. I say it looks like the dwarf spider droid's big brother, but you can be the judge of that.

Awesome build. I seem to recall that in the Lego Clone Wars game, these cannons had a smaller anti personnel rapid fire turret on the belly. Maybe its just a game feature, but if thats part of the offical design, could that be added?

This thing has great character compared to a lot of the other star wars heavy weapons, it feels like it would fit into the Second Renaissance segment of The Animatrix. It's kind of surprising that it didn't first appear (to my knowledge) in the Genndy Tartakovsky series, it would have totally belonged.

I checked it up and prize is actually cheap for such a beautiful set. Lets say maximum predicted prize for 1000 pieces J-1 is 155 plus 15 dollars for manual. Even i my country it is a good prize.

Why would you buy the instructions only to not get the pieces? And if you have the pieces then make it yourself

you buy the instructions so that if you have the pieces you can build it and if you don't have the pieces you order it on bricklink. they are running a business. Businesses need money to succeed. the money from the instructions goes to the business aswell as the three people that work there along with the designer of the moc.
