I have been busy with school work, and getting viable software for my instructions book, and my new project. Color coding. Make the pieces holding each end of every rubber band match in color, but use different colors for every rubber band.

I'm not sure if this is practical but this is just a thought for an automatic rubberband lego gun. I didn't fully think of how it would work but it's a concept. What if there are 2 set of rubberband firing mechanism. The first one fires and will via a mechanism cock the 2nd one. The 2nd one fires and will automatically cock the 1st one and so on. This would enable to keep switching to remove the requirement of cocking the gun everytime. This is just a thought, I'm not sure if this would even work at all.

It wouldn't work. Why? Because conservation of energy. The first rubberband mechanism will not be able to fire a projectile and cock a second rubberband at the same time, if the second rubberband mechanism is NOT LESS powerful than the first. And if the second rubberband is less powerful, it will not be able to cock the first rubberband. Even if there were no projectiles, two identical rubberbands can never cock one another, because they will lose some of their stored energy as heat and sound - in addition to mechanical - every time they are released. Basically, what you are suggesting is a perpetual motion machine.

The piece connected to the rubber band is rounded, so is all edges of lego technic pieces. if that piece were not there, the rubber band would roll over the bullet every time you tried to load it or cycle the mechanism. probably one of the most important pieces of the entire system

I think of what gun i am going to make and make some basic planning in my head and some on paper, but most of what becomes the finish product comes from actually just building.

Best gun yet, man I would build if if you had instructions on an LDD file... I know it takes a LOT more time to build a LDD file, since I cant stand picture tutorials... But it is worth it since the rest of us will be able to build it too, put it on our videos, then refer to you in the credits!

first off don't say teh, make you sound weird, also vec, just say vector, please don't even say it's an abbreviation... just type the thing, you have all the time in the world, at least you can type vector instead or vec, and it IS supposed to fire uber fast, it's legos, what can you really do to have an automatic mechanism in such a compact way? anddddd...... last it shoots 45. ACP calibers, it's not 50cal. not to be rude :/
