Very impressive, the scale is perfect. I wasn't expecting it to have a whole gearbox/transfer box/clutch setup too,

Woow sheepo, what is this a great model! I will even pay for your instructions for this model, even an standard model without the RC. It looks stunning like your Mini Cooper and Porsche 911. I really do love this LR 110 at lot, I am trying to build one in Army Green (with paint) for a long while.

Absolutely incredible. Fully functioning gearbox, hi-lo range, 2W/4WD, all controlled without manually switching parts. That's awesome. I'm in awe of your ability, and I love that you picked the Defender body for your project. I question it's ability to pass the CUUSOO review though. At 2800 pieces, that would put it in the top 10 largest lego sets of all time. On top of that, they're technic pieces. The largest technic sets yet are under 1900 pieces. I just don't see it being profitable.

Downloadable instructions for alternate Landrover bodys would be a super additional extra, A Dakar Discovery in orange for example with beefed up wheels and a winch on the front bumper would be so cool.

Hi Sheepo, Thanks for making such a great model. I bought your instruction and finished building it last night at 3am. For me, it's truly a masterpiece. However, the gearbox doesn't work. it wont shift up or down. I have even added the third red rubber, but still couldn't get it to work.

the name of the website escapes me but there are public polls you can vote in which are for models like this. when it reaches a certain amount i think, LEGO are contacted and they should put it into production for a short period of time. im not sure. look into it a little more if you want.

one epic thing you could do (its a bit late to add to the review model) but find a way to give it a manual clutch, and give a separate tutorial on that. If so it would be one of the most unbelievable models i have ever seen let alone the fact that it is made from lego!!!

defenders exist in different versions, 90's, 110's and 130's. the difference between them is not the count of doors, it is the wheelbase measured in inches.

This is awesome! I wish I could build stuff like this, but most of my creations look like moon rovers (probably 'cause I'm a novice builder), although all functions work. With 2 xl motors, and some 40 tooth and 8 tooth gears, what is the top speed that can be reached for an rc car? No tweaks or hacks either; just strictly legos. Some tips/tutorials would be helpful. Plus I don't know much about gear ratios. Other than the motors and gears, I also have sets 8109, 9398, and the rescue helicopter

Could you do a video where you test it out a little bit? Some treeroots hardly present a challenge for a Defender and your build quality... Some hillclimb in low range and rock-crawlig to test the suspension? Soft sand maybe? Just to get this straight though: I am gobsmacked by every one of your creations...
@bk_151212 жыл бұрын
I have voted on cuusco. I have also tweeted about it. I will definatly purchase it if it becomes available. Did you not have enough grey pieces to make the full body and roof for the enclosed vehicle chassis? Either way it doesn't matter. This is a propper Lego MOC. If lego don't make this they are stupid. It is a great piece of engineering. A complex build, plenty of gearing. There is everything in this one model that can not be found as yet in any existing lego model.
