I had a friend years ago that got me back into lego. I played as a kid, and forgot about it. When my friend started talking about her old lego sets, we bought a bunch of vintage collections on ebay, and we started making sculptures, functional decor (like a photo stand, kleenex box cover, clocks, ect.). My house had a dedicated Lego bedroom, but now they're all crammed in a closet. I should get back to making sculptures, because that was the most fun. Just need to keep buying more of the same colour.

Ella, have you thought of doing a Lego Island play through?? I know the game is old but it would be quite the nostaglia trip!

Gotta love them cables, always in the way :P ah lego takes me back! I'm trying to get every vehicle in the Technic theme section. It's very therapeutic!

That would be extremely expensive, especially if you're trying to find some of the first kits from the early 1980s. If you look at most of them thru the '80s, they were awful and not worth it. They were not popular because they were just too simple and rudimentary. It's fun to see the designs slowly progress and improve over the decades tho. I still have a "race car" from 1988 and it looks awful. It's worth about $600-$700 on ebay but I can't imagine anyone actually wanting it. I was a collector of vintage stuff, '80s to late '90s. I have some amazing stuff, and I have a LOT of garbage sets that were never popular. Some day I'll dump a massive collection of junk sets. Some collectors just want the vintage parts that were discontinued.
