The booknook concept works well for any interior scenes, but kind of rules out any outside scenes we may have gotten with other set formats, but something like the Golden Hall of Meduseld could be incredible in this style

They just need to make some battle packs already. Gondor, Rohan, Uruk-Hai, Elven, etc. I missed out on the LOTR wave in 2012 and I will not miss out on it again, haha.

Keep in mind, as these are licensed, Lego doesn't have carte blanche to create whatever they want to from LOTR. Every idea has to be approved…or they are approached with an idea and have to work on mock-ups and proposals to make it happen. So it might not be a matter of Lego not wanting to do even smaller sets…it may be a part of their licensing deal to do these bigger more expensive sets. Maybe they have a fixed royalty per set sold rather than a % of the sale price? I don't know. I just wonder if they have all the creative say on what is produced. Unlikely.

I’ve had loved a balrog set along the lines of the Marvel Thor v Surtur one - a large balrog figure, a handful of goblins and then Gandalf. Otherwise, surely the LOTR sets are primed for diaramas? So many iconic scenes and quotes. Army building sets would be a licence to print money for Lego - sure fire hit. Tough hearing what KZbin have done to your channel though mate

Dude the monetization issue is so sad, im so sorry mate! Ive seen stuff like this happen to so many people and it just sucks and is so unfair. Im sure as long as you can continue, even if its a bit less than usual, itll all work out fine and soon enough someone at youtube will notice and let your channel get monetized again. Praying for you man 🙏 When you get monetized again, maybe fewer clips will be a safer way to go. Even tho your editing is definitely enough, if youtube is being hard about it i guess the only way is to compromise and work safer, its their game they can mess channels around as they please unfortunately

i have so many ideas for it! but the demonisation has really caused me problems. i left my job to focus on yotuube last month which was allowing for projects like that. I stayed up 24 hours straight to record each episode i've released so far so far. Ive had to go back to my job and take overtime to pay the bills. Until youtube supports me - its going to be hard to continue Pelargir. But this comment meant a lot man, ill try get an christmas episode out this month

I’m intrigued by the book nook. That’s a scene I really want in set form, so I’m happy that’s what got chosen. However, I think it’ll be a Gandalf minifig on a small bridge of khazad-dûm build with a mosaic Balrog backdrop. That makes sense to me for a bookshelf display piece of the scene, but I would much prefer a standard diorama with a brick built Balrog, like the Jurassic Park T-Rex breakout. If the book book is done well, I think it could be a good innovation on Lego’s part. I’d prefer to see smaller $50-60 dioramas of famous scenes from the movies. Personally, I don’t need playsets (fortunate to have almost all of the original two waves) but they wouldn’t hurt

I dont like the idea of a book nook. I really doubt it will include a fully built, large posable balrog. I expect it will be a half built balrog body coming out of the back wall. More a diorama/display piece than a playset. Guess we will find out soon...

Not really sure what they mean by booknook, but when I made a bookend/ MOC of the same scene it actually worked out pretty nicely. Hopefully they can capture the look and feeling of the scene well.
