Great list of What If sets with some awesome MOC showcases. Some things not mention I really wish were represented? We never got ANYTHING for Mina's Tirith and that shocks me. It could simply just be due to scale as it's MASSIVE. I always argued this could make up an ENTIRE wave. Set 1: Would include gate type section of Mina's Tirith and two siege towers. Minifigures: Pippin in Gondor Armor, Faramir in Gondor armor, One Gondorian Archer, one Gondorian swordsman, two Mordor orcs, Gothmog, Armored troll. Then do add on sets. Set 2 - Mordor Orc Battle Pack: Catapult build, Mordor banner, and 4 Orc. Set Three: Grond with 3 orcs and Lieutenant Orc w/ skull on helmet and armored troll. Set four: Add on wall piece for the Mina's Tirith gate much like the one for Helm's Deep. Four Gondorian soldiers, trebuchet, Gandalf on Shadowfax. Set Five: Oliphaunt/Mumikil (brick built) with Haradrim warriors and riders of Rohan on Horseback. Set six: Rohan Battle Pack: 2 Riders, 2 Royal Guards, Theoden, and some generic tent build/banner. Set seven: Fell Beast (brick built) w/ Witchking of Angmar, Eowyn in Durnhelm disguise, and Merry in Rohan armor. Now sadly, of course, this would NEVER happen. But can you IMAGINE? In one (way too big...I didn't really put thought into the realism of it) wave you'd get almost all you need to replicate the siege and battle of Pallenor. Plus toss in the already made Corsair ship for the ending.

Honestly after reading that I agree this would totally work as a wave. The only reason I didn’t mention any of this was i think of LEGO were to release any minas tirith sets they would do it in like a group of 3. And the sets I listed I just think would be more obvious choices for LEGO. If I did a follow up to this video with a wave 4 I’d definitely throw some minas tirith sets in. Also thanks for the comment. Had a lot of fun reading your ideas.

Other things I'd love to see not mentioned: The Golden Hall at Edora's w/ Rohirrim Royal Guards, Hamma, Gamling, Eowyn, Wormtongue, Old Theoden, Gandalf, Legolas, Aragorn, Gimli. Lothlorien massive treehouse style builds and and at the base the mirror of Galadriel. The Prancing Pony to represent Bree. Could do a little set to represent the Forbidden pool and include Ithilian rangers and Faramir w/ Gollum. Could also do the Dead Marshes with a fell beast. As well as something to represent Osgiliath. Then often forgotten is the tower of Cirith Ungol. That would be fun. But in an ideal world....I really...really...REALLY...would want just those battle packs the sometimes do for not much. Imagine a pack that's just Rohan soldiers, one for Gondor soldier, one for Uruk, one for Mordor Orc, one for Moria Orc, one for Ithilian Rangers, Elven warriors, Haradrim, Easterlings, Army of the Dead, etc. Man I'd about die. I'd buy 10 of each!

The golden hall has recently appeared on aliexpress, I know it's not even one choice of lego. It does have noldor elves, mirkwood elves (in armour), gondorian soldiers, dwarves from the iron hills, rohan soldiers, uruk hai, minifigures for army building. Again it's not everyone's choice of lego but with lego not making those figs, they are a decent quality as I have a few of each and they look great.

Wow great ideas these would be very amazing sets to get. I would’ve put something from minas tirith in the video but because I was thinking realistically LEGO wouldn’t release 2 UCS sets in the same wave and I think barad bur would be a better choice. Also mount doom could be a really awesome play set for like $30 where you could drop Gollum and the ring into the lava. Also those would be my exact picks for figures in that set. I agree with all these ideas, a few ideas of my own include, “Fangorn encounter” which would include an orc, Merry and Pippin, and include a build for Treebeard. Costing between $14.99 and $19.99. “Warg attack” would include 2 orc warg riders, king Theoden, Aragorn on horses, and a Rohan soldier, and would also include a cliff build, cost would be $39.99. And lastly a Minas Tirith build in the same vain as the Ninjago city sets, with many rooms and details to explore, would also include a catapult and siege tower, minifigures would include Gandalf the white, Pippin in Gondor armor, Lord Denathor, Faramir, three Gondorian soldiers, three assorted Gindorian citizens, two Mordor orcs, and General Gothmog, as well as a armored mountain troll. Cost would be $399.99.

Great ideas. I didn’t include anything from minas tirith as if LEGO did anything from it, it would be in a UCS style and they wouldn’t release 2 UCS sets in the the same wave. Also not too sure about the tree beard set since he was included in the tower of orthanc but maybe we could get another ent.

It would be a neat building for like $60. Pub on the bottom floor, 4 beds on the top. Get our 4 hobbits (or most likely 2 or 3) Aragorn and a couple of nazgul 👌

One thing I always wished was for an easier way to get nine Wraiths on horseback. But can you IMAGINE how expensive it would be to get all nine on FELL BEASTS? Ooooooh boy. PLUS technically you'd actually need ten minifigures as 9 hooded plus a 10th to represent armored witchking for both battle ready and just hooded Witchking.

I honestly never realized how expensive that would be. It wouldn’t be too bad to get them all on horses if LEGO made a battle pack with wraiths with some horses included. But all on fell beasts. Your wallet would be hurting after that 😂.

for barad dur i would really like the figures to include a sauron at the scale of those big nexo knights lava monsters, i would also include that orc commander from minas tirith and the mouth of sauron and maybe his elven disguise. also i would really like to see a shire people pack that is based off of bilbo's birthday. i really want some more normal hobbit folk and i think that would be a good set for that

I'd love to see a set with tom bombadil despite him never being in the movies he was always an intresting character to me and i think to a lot of people who were fans of the books as well. I'd like to see more sets based of scenes in the books that didn't make it into the movies.

It's so frustrating how few sets they made for LOTR. All the Minifigures are expensive now, and like you said they have gotten so much better since the first wave. When the Lego LOTR video game features characters that they never made in Lego, it's just rude.

I love all the ideas that you said in the video. However, instead of the Oliphant set I would've love for a $70-$90 Osgiliath. The figs it would include would be: Faramir, two regular Mordor Orcs, Madril (The Captain who fought with Faramir), Frodo and two Gondor soldiers or Gondor archers.

It’s probably because this video just started getting a lot of views like a week ago. The only reason I didn’t throw in minas tirith is I think LEGO would make a big ucs set for it like barad dur. And we wouldn’t see two big UCS sets in a year. If I made a wave 4 video it would definitely be included

For the first scene i think it should be Gandalf and Frodo and either Gimli or Aragorn. Because the Gandalf en Frodo are the most important characters for that scene. Frodo: “What is the Elvish word for friend?” Gandalf: “Mellon” - door opens* And its the door to a dwarven kingdom so Gimli would make sense. Or Aragorn because he saves Frodo from the watcher.

5:05 good mentions, but I'm pretty sure that minifigs have a huge impact on price sometimes, a lot of the time when kids buy the sets they are looking for the characters. When there is so many characters in one set, the people making them will probably raise the price up a lot because characters are the main focus for kids. I think gandalf frodo and some of the crew is fine, no orks really need to be in the set and when

I hate the scene where the Witch King breaks Gandalf's staff. That never happened in the books and the Witch King would never be able to break the staff of a Maiar. That scene was just added as cheap suspense building.

@@legorankandreview955 Yeah the confrontation between the Witch King and Gandalf occurs at the gate of Minas Tirith. When the Witch King raises his sword Gandalf does not move. @@JainaSoloB312 Gandalf's magic in the books isn't as connected to his staff as it is in the films. His most powerful magic is his voice, and with that he can instill courage and hope in the heart of those that hear. It's hard to convey that in a movie perhaps, but you see him motivating fleeing soldiers of Gondor during the siege. With that said, even though the staff seems important in some way it's just a conduit of the intrinsic power of the wizards in the books and Gandalf was able to wield magic without it. Also, in the books, when Saruman imprisons Gandalf, he doesn't take away his staff.
