I love the set but wish that like other large scale character models (grogu, BD1) it included a baby groot figure. I would definitely buy the set if they did that!

Cassette tape looks spot on. Bit surprised that the feet are identical, instead of being mirrored.

I got this as a gift because I really like Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.2 and I had not even seen pictures of this set before. I didn't know about it until I was gifted it and I love it. :D The cassette tape is amazing. I'm was very impressed with how the head was built and the stability and posability. Despite the big heavy head, I can pose this figure standing on one leg in the iconic Baby Groot dance pose and I'm not worried it may fall over. It has been standing in that pose on my desk for several weeks now. :D

Just got this set yesterday, nice neat cute little build, was not too hard to mirror the feet, also had extra old spare throwbot/bionicle technic pieces to give full range of motion to the hips

I know it wouldn't work well, or maybe not at all, but I wish the BD1 set had just as much posability/articulation as groot did so we could do more than make him stand and look. very tempted to get this and just have BD1 and Groot chilling together

I’m partial to the baby groot itself, comes across a little uncanny for my liking, but that cassette tape is stunning! Especially with how close they got it to 1:1 scale. I’d almost like to see Lego do a set in the “Creator” line that’s just a handful of cassettes like that, maybe with licensed stickers based on actual tapes.

Just built Groot myself yesterday. It is a fun build. However, one thing that may be a tiny detriment is the eyebrows. For some reason, the instructions imply they can be rotated further in, but physically, its not possible, leaving them a good bit misaligned with Groots eyes.

I ordered this from 'W' two weeks ago, & price was $43 (+ tax). Its shipping has been delayed five days (due to sub-zero storm in midwest) & should be here tomorrow, OR next day. First ordered LEGO approximately 37 years ago for my first child. (I have three adult kids now, as well as two grandchildren) handing down so many LEGO products is a real delight, & has NEVER disappointed in any way. 😃 Not sure why I truly thought this Groot did 'something,' yet I'm realizing it does not. I'm so looking forward to seeing this, & all the faces as it's being opened, etc. For me, a 60+ female, I am very happy about this Groot, etc. I NEVER thought that 37 years later, LEGO continues to put smiles on all of our faces, & in our hearts 💕 Happy new year 2023 to all. 🇺🇲

The set is in my opinion too expensive. The mouth jaw construction is very prone to fall off, as the whole thing easily falls over. I built the set and was very dissatisfied.
