You can tell which one is the main character’s mech because it has a clear cockpit

These are incredible, there's something very satisfying to me about a minifig fitting snugly inside a build lol

I love how the Planetary Defence Force has always been these short little projects that break up all of Jang's other projects. That one area has developed almost entirely in little tangents like these.

8:37 in space the friction of the saw buzzing away would create a lot of heat, and with no atmosphere the whole suit would be in danger of melting so it would definately need a cooling system! Well done. Also the red-yellow-orange accents are cool. Please keep them forever.

Awesome builds! Can’t wait to see more planetary defense base!

I really like these. The basic frame is the perfect jump off point for numerous variants you could come up with.

These are insane mechs. Sat back in my chair when I saw that YOU CAN BALANCE THEM ON TOES. OMG. I don't understand why Lego doesn't release sets with this much articulation. Absolutely Incredible!!

I love seeing you get into gundam then make some of the least gundam mechs that can exist really shows that inspiration doesnt have to be noticeable on the surfaces to be appreciated

I’m thoroughly impressed, especially with how you connected those front shields with robot arms and worked it beautifully down the back. You nailed it Jang!

These are nifty. Using the "Thorntongon" as the canopy is a neat touch. Thorntongon: six-sided shape named after Ron Thornton, co-founder of Foundation Imaging and visual effects designer on Babylon 5 in Seasons 1-3. That shape pops up everywhere in the show: the station cooling fans, the Starfury cockpits, hatches, etc...
@SMARTAN_4272 жыл бұрын
I absolutely love the cockpit on these! The way you use the shields to wrap around the pilots and hatch makes a fantastic silhouette that does a great job evoking Jame's Cameron's Avatar and Titanfall.

I didn’t know you were into Gundam Jang! Got into it and building the kits at the start of lockdown two years ago and it’s been my obsession hobby wise since. It’s a blast!
@stuchly12 жыл бұрын
These look brilliant! I love how you've been able to seal the cockpit incredibly well around the canopy. Fantastic! I also enjoy how the mechs feel a realistic size in comparison with minifigs, not unnecessarily big, that's very nice as well!

Those are some awesome mechs. Had you mounted some kind of "heads" on them (justified as sensor suite), they'd look very much like something from the Tau of warhammer 40k fame

If you think about it the studs on the outside of the shields could be some kind of energy sheild projectors or some kind of multi-sensor flare, possibly smoke.

Wow, Jang. These are great! Something about them feels vintage new. I recall back in the day my friends and I would make small mechs and robots like this with fairly small part counts and simple design. These are more advanced than the one's we made, but it was good to be taken back to that memory.

Oh hey thats a coincidence, I was using a trans orange version of the windscreen/canopy piece to make a dark green mech, but it was too heavy and the legs buckled. This gives me some ideas to make it smaller and compatible with the less strong joints. If that doesnt work ill use exo force legs. Anyway, great builds, cheers!
