If you have the Studio program from BrickLink you can view the project "digital clock.io" from the link above. There are various versions of the Python code there as well; the latest version "digital clock with lunar 2.lms" includes a lunar phase display on the hub. There are also step-by-step instructions for an earlier version on the BrickLink web page linked above.

The Mindstorms program is written in Python so you will need to be familiar with the language to sset the time.

No, sorry. Nearly all of items used to construct the digit tracks are NOT in the Mindstorms kit. The Mindstorms kit DOES include all of the necessary motors and the Hub.

No, sorry. Nearly all of items used to construct the digit tracks are NOT in the Mindstorms kit. The Mindstorms kit includes one 11x19 panel, this uses six. The Mindstorm kit DOES include all of the necessary motors and of course, the Hub.
