HA! I was hoping there would be a few Star Wars fans watching. I feel so much pain for you guys, and this set here is only a small taste of the insane overpricing that theme gets.... For the most part, you'll find Minecraft to be a very fun and affordable theme. One set a year is about all that's egregiously overpriced (see 2021's Modern Treehouse brickset.com/sets/21174-1/The-Modern-Treehouse or 2018's The Bedrock Adventures brickset.com/sets/21147-1/The-Bedrock-Adventures)

in my opinion the Red Barn is a really cool set but it is definitely overpriced Considering the fact that it comes with a lot of mobs we've gotten before in another sets. Another disappointment is For those who like to part out sets you would mainly just get a ton of red bricks at the end of the day And I think we all have those, but for those who need red bricks then i Suppose it would be good But besides that the design is pretty cool But I don't think I would be picking up this set for that price. It Definitely has Benefits & doubts. I mean at least it looks like a barn! Nice video as always!

I have to say, I really love your review format. There is such a clear passion from you for everything you review. I have been watching your videos since you began the biome MOC series and your passion for LEGO Minecraft has reignited that passion for me. Although this is expensive, I think its one of the best minecraft sets. I want more sets like this, regular looking player skins, with a build that someone might ACTUALLY make in Minecraft. This it's such a big and bulky design so it's super awesome in my opinion. Great review as usual!

This one is so pretty! I’ve seen those barns everywhere on servers and I have one of my own too, though in a different color scheme. I think barns are kind of an iconic Minecraft building. Even though its not perfect when it comes to game accuracy it feels a lot better proportionally to me than some previous sets from the series. I also hope that the series will stick to the direction of “really cool complete building(s)” for its premium sets instead of giant mob houses. I’m kind of not a fan of those for some reason. I also think it’s a great play set in a more doll-housey sense and would work great with some cheaper farm sets. Like a really nice gift for a kid who’s into Minecraft. That price though is bogus!! It will always be one of those sets that I ogle at the stores, consider getting and then look at the price tag and squirm. Yeesh! Even with how good it is this feels like a rip off.

I do appreciate how many complete buildings we've been getting. Love em or hate em, both the Pig House and Llama Village were very nicely finished off. Plus we got completed houses in both the Illager Raid set and Abandoned Village which is fantastic

We grabbed this set with a 15% discount at Legoland in June. My 8 yo is obsessed with Minecraft. He loves this set. He loves the playability and the fact that it opens to play. He also loved the figures espeically the one with the hat. Keep up the great work!

I like this set because in normal time, all the farm sets are just big animals. This set is a barn, not just a big animal. However, the set is literally overpriced compare to my Lego technic McLaren. The set has 830 pieces and it cost 70$ Canadian compared to this with 799 piece for 130$ Canadian.

And the it isnt game accurate argument is really weak. Every lego minecraft set so far has captured the minecraft feel extremely well. And that to me is far more important then game accuracy. And besides you can still make all these sets in game, just be a little creative about it. Dont rebuild the sets in game, but instead build the lego set as if it was build in game first and then rebuild in lego. If that makes sense

I feel like a champ for getting Boba's Throne Room for £59.99 instead of £89.99, honestly. I'm not a Lego Minecraft fan but I really like the look of this set. Idk, there's something charming about how chunky it is, it feels like a children's drawing, and as someone who made something very very similar to this for our horses in my first Realms world with my friends, it feels kind of sentimental to see it. Would I get it? Ehhhhhh no, but I also probably would have loved it a lot as a kid, had I gotten it for Christmas or a birthday. It's a fun, solid thing.

I have shared my opinion on this set countless times in this channel's cement section The Minecraft inaccuracy, the randomness, the lack on the mini figs, the simple build, i just can't ignore all those things and it ruins this set for me extremely, not just Minecraft related problems, just in general there are many things that just don't sound well to me And to answer that little joke in the middle, what *i* say it's "inaccuracy" is not just anything that doesn't make 100% sense in Minecraft, but just the general accumulation of small problems The odd numbers studs is ok and would be ok in any other set as the main problem, heck, even the fences being completely inaccurate is completely fine But when the entire build doesn't really "follow" a generic shape that would feel minecraft-y other than the general "square-ish" shape To see what I mean better, i could give some examples of sets that do the accuracy better, like the end dungeon, spawner, the first igloo set, the big mountain, many of the small poly bag looking sets The entire Minecraft set price range is filled with some better than other sets accuracy-wise, but then accuracy doesn't just mean shape and build, it also means colors and others Most sets that I mentioned before have a very simple build color-wise that can be easily translated to real blocks in minecraft Basically what I mean is that, from all the inaccuracy in Lego Minecraft, this one just has *less* of that, and it just breaks my suspension of disbelief But anyways, to not end this comment seeming like I'm angry at you are anything 🤣, this review was great and I can't wait to see more videos from this awesome channel! Have a great life too!

This is a totally valid critique and I get where you're coming from 100%! While they're not as pretty, some of the earliest sets are great examples of a more 'faithful approach' (see brickset.com/sets/21118-1/The-Mine) where everything is intentionally given a 2x2 space, and ultimately because of that, I can say that The Mine looks more like a Minecraft set than The Red Barn does. So yeah, there's definitely something to be said for that!

Just wondering but do you think if a new lego set includes newly printed pieces or newly molded pieces (such as the new horse print, or new baby zombie), that causes the price of the set to go up? Like they're trying to recomp for the money spent to make those new designs?

That is always a contributing factor, yeah. New moulds are especially expensive, but new prints can add some extra cost too. Spread out across thousands of sets the cost should be pretty negligible, but sometimes we still see the effect. In the case of this set here where there is really only one new mould (the goat head, which also appears in another set) and a few new prints (Villager, Rancher) and I don't think it comes anywhere near to justifying the cost of this particular set

The strange thing is that this is treated as kinda exclusive, so i can get the llama village for 95 € in germany easy, I fail to see the barn getting cheaper. The best i have seen was 10% off and that felt still too expensive to me. I'd rather buy the llama village again for that price...

Yeah, there's definitely something weird about this one's release. It wasn't revealed alongside the other four sets in the wave (it was revealed a few hours later for some reason) and there's virtually no copies of the set on Bricklink, leading me to believe it must be harder to find.
