LEGO MOC Ford F-150 Raptor, Model A Hot Rod, & Trailer Conversion (Set 75875)

This is a video of my conversions of the Ford F-150 Raptor, Ford Model A Hot Rod, & Trailer from LEGO Speed Champions set 75875 from 2016.
I rebuilt the F-150 Raptor 6 studs wide to fit better on LEGO road plates and to be in better proportion with the other vehicles in my city. I also brick-built a lot of details to replace stickers and added an optional Off-Road package, as well.
I rebuilt the Model A Hot Rod with a new motor with chrome accents, added a rumble seat, and chopped the roof to make it a convertible.
Finally, I rebuilt the trailer in light gray and I also used smaller wheels and fenders to give it sleeker look.

Thanks!! The chrome parts were part of a bulk lot I bought on eBay a while back. A few of them are not authentic LEGO and normally I'm a purist but they were so cool I made an exception in this case. Thanks for watching!!

A lot of my friends say the same thing. I just ignore them. There is a huge community of AFOLs (Adult Fans Of LEGO) who make some really awesome creations. It really is an art form. Hey Chris! Another great conversion video I see! I really appreciated the parallax effect animation at the start as the car went by from left to right. These conversions make perfect sense to me. Lego is creating cars that are just too large for the road plates and out of sync with other models. As you said, however, sacrifices have to be made. Learning to compromise and be happy with changes that perhaps are not perfect but do a better job is not easy but sometimes we just need to accept that the improvements we make are valuable and worthy. Like you, I don't like using stickers. In fact, I hate them. Dare I say, I think Lego 'cheat' a lot by using so many stickers on their cars. Perhaps I am more of a purist than Lego themselves? 😂🤣 I am not familiar with the chrome pieces you used (except for the 2x1 grille piece). Are they custom or official parts? I so look forward to your videos. I have the car bug now. I am presently working on a futuristic version of the 1969 Mustang Boss and am thoroughly enjoying the build stage now I have achieved the design in Studio.2.0. Have a great day! 😀👍

Hey, Jezza!! I agree 100% about using stickers. I think it is cheating, especially as much as LEGO does it. A logo or two is OK but LEGO gets carried away. The chrome headers and blower are not official parts. They were mixed in with a used parts lot I bought on eBay. Normally I'm a purist, too, but they were so cool I made a rare exception. Wow as always amazing job on all 3. The truck looks so much better than the original and I love what you did with the hot rod. They both look much more in scale with the city line now.
