George Cowsert that’s the beauty of a simplistic design. The foldable arms can be stowed, converting them into armour plating. And the ability to split them in half grants them to ability to form much longer spindly limbs, making it extremely difficult to find where one ends and begins.

For MY theory, the Mystery boxes use hive minds (almost like ants or bees, when only one box is taught something, all surrounding boxes will know the exact thing, even though they weren’t taught it) to quickly learn about both human and other alien races and use the learned tech. against them. The boxes can’t see, but instead uses ultra-sonic waves to create color they visualize. The detail is so accurate that they can scope animals, objects, and even gasses behind any obstacle in a full 360 for a certain distance. The boxes use both their hive minds and very a unique, magnet-like material to combine into objects learned and thought in unison. All of the combined boxes generate a lead mind, which (even though consists of parts of the combined boxes) generally thinks and acts on it’s own until the boxes fall apart. The box’s energy panels can also copy tech, creating their own weaponry (the energy charged blasters), energy shields, and anything else they’ve learned. The boxes do not have a good imagination, so they won’t get too creative with new objects. That was a mouthful, what do you think??

But to me the worst one is in the cut content. Because it is long, and if it's charging you you're kind of forced to take out the stuff in the front. But once you do that, it's not like a normal Frontline Soldier where they just fall down and you can shoot whatever's behind it. They are fused, which means if they can cling to the dead- possibly with the bodies staying how they were upon death. The ones in the back are protected by corpses, which means the more individuals you kill, the more protected the overall thing is. They could charge the front lines and make great distance.

I have a theory... I wasn't seeing a case where every single energy funnel was used at the same time. perhaps they work on a kind of balance where some channels are set as "input" and some are set as "output" for efficiency's sake. as an example, perhaps a set being used for optical input, a set used for solar input, and a set used for weapons output. if they were to go all-out on output/attack, maybe they would deplete their energy too quickly.

Absolutely love this, incredible creativity and detail from a more basic concept. Some ideas: 1. Maybe the orange bits have four modes they can switch between - blaster, defense (either armor or shielding), advanced sensing, or propulsion. While the boxes' general sensory points are unknown, it could be that in the latter mode they can act as be powerful long-range vision, infrared vision, radiation detection, or even olifactory sensing units. That would explain why some of them seem to have heads or antennae, to house those units. Then, when the orange bits aren't being used for sensory or blasting purposes, they either provide armor or, in the case of aircraft/spacecraft, propulsion. 2. Alternatively, the appearance of a head could have been a tactic to trick people firing on instinct, so when they shoot they would knock out a fake eye and miss the main body.

I think I just thought up a crossover of ALL the many lego brands that may be better or worse than what dimensions did. All of the different series are on separate planets, and soon, the mystery boxes come and invade all of the planets, sending refugees out to a distant planet for shelter, L-E G.O, where all of the many characters team up and merge parts from their different vehicles, objects, and weapons on their planets to survive the swarm. So, after years of building and hearding off the mystery boxes, a group of heros set out to all the planets to defeat the many mystery box swarms and soon find the home base where they defeat the ruler of mystery, responsible for creating the boxes and is intent on destroying the universe, and save the universe once and for all. If that's not a good idea, idk what is.

So here’s the thing, I think the average group of 12 should be called a dozen, and that they should be lead by a 13th commandant . making them a “Pandora’s dozen”, the commandant should have jumper plates instead of trans-orange tiles. So he can’t shoot, but when he combines with other box combos, he can give them more power... Also there could be giant structures that make more, and construction forms that can get too areas other forms can’t, he should have giant claws that are very flexible... I have a theory of their backstory. I think that they were built by an extremely advanced race that simply want to liberate the galaxy due to their overpopulation. Watching this video, it struck me as odd why larger mystery boxes would sacrifice their firepower by tucking away their fire-arms and only limiting themselves to a certain set. It would make sense that- in order to manipulate a larger organism, energy from these fire-spots must be sequestered and distributed in order to generate further mobility. For example, the colossus tucks in a ton of energy patches in its legs to enhance mobility, while the upper body, which is not as decisive for mobility, has its energy patches spread out to maximize firepower. This also demonstrates an interesting effect of such configurations: long, wiry figures which people would typically describe as “attack-oriented” are _actually_ attack oriented, as they have more dispersed fire-spots. However, figures kludged together and compacted seem to be denser and more “defense-oriented”, as their fire-points are used for mobility (and possibly shield generation.) This phenomena can be observed in the Colony Ship as well: most energy points are either tucked in (shield generation to deflect interstellar debris during transit, which, during lorentz-significant speeds, could easily punch a hole in any unshielded ship and easily end the mission), or pointed backwards (aiding in acceleration). Alright, this is just my speculation, but it seems we’ve stumbled on an impressive new speculative biology.

ok, so, in order of start to finish (the extra designs). starting off i would like to disclaim that "Chargers" refer to the orange tiles on them. The "Dog" The Dog is mainly known or two things, its dog like appearance, and its personalized way of combat. Using a sort of artillery method, it engages both chargers at once to combine the blasts into one. The "Humpback" and the "Hammerhead" (Humpbacks Right, Hammerheads left) The Humpback is typically known for being a sort of hauler, hence its very elongated back. The Hammerhead is beileved to be a recon drone of sorts, people say this mainly because of its widened head structure, saying that "the wider face makes it so it can see a wider area at once". The "Mantis" The Mantis is usually called the "APC of he Mystery Boxes" mainly because of its four pretty manueverable legs, and its unique two firing "modes". no.1 being standard charger fire, and no.2 being where it puts both chargers together similiar to the Dog. The "Quadarch" and the "Wide-Eye" (same config as before) Most commonly refered to as "pretty much just a slouch 2.0" the Quadarch is known for its four arms (hence the 'quad'). Which allow for extra fire rate and it extra climbing capability even (on a few occasions) being seen climbing slopes somwhere between 70 and 80 degrees. The Wide-eye is similar to the Humpback in being more of a military transport. The "Should-Slouch" The Should-Slouch is mainly known for its two very large shoulders, hence the 'Should'. however, due to "Tongue's sake" people no longer pronounce the 'h' in 'Should'. The "Raptor" The Raptor is especially known for its freightening speed, being able to run at an approximate maximum of 30-40 MPH. The "Tri-Roll" The Tri-Roll is very unique in its various arms it has but not for their fire-power, but instead, for the fuction in long range movement. Essentially what happens is it will rotate all its arms face the opposite of the way it wants to go, then it will use its chargers as sort of thrusters to propell itself forwards. At quite high speeds to might i add, even faster the Raptor, with the Tri-Roll being able to go between 50 and even 60 MPH. However, while yes they are extremely fast, in this wheel form they actually lose quite a lot of manueverabilty, still able to turn of course but still extremly wide turns. The "Taranchula" While the Mantis is the APC of the Mystery Boxes, the Taranchula is the Tank of the Mystery Boxes. The Taranchula is known for 3 main things, no.1 its spider like appearance, no.2 its quite terrifying climbing ability, with some witnesses of it even saying that they saw it climb up obtuse cliff angles. And no.3 its dual charger turret setup, just like the other two, it has standard fire, and double fire. (read the Dog's description) (i cant come up with anything so skip) The "Moth" The Moth especially known for its flight abilitys, and its bombing capabilitys. Its flight coming from its wings, flapping them to take off, and using he chargers on the tips as thrusters to fly forward. And its bombing coming from its ability to take its four legs and put the four chargers together to charge up one scarily powerful, and devastating attack from the skies. The "Fence" The Fence is a common form the Mystery Boxes take when they need secure an area, they will link up together to form a sort of wall or fence around the area, the Fences have also een known to be able to generate some kind of energy shield around themselves, using the chargers to do so. (once again cant come up with any thing so screw it) And last but certainly not least, the "Pheonix" The Pheonix is essentially an upgraded version of the Moth, with all of the same (but upgraded) abilitys, but now with two sort of anti-air guns coming out of the rear back.

Also sorry about any misspellings or grammar errors or whatever, i kinda got a little "into character" with this one ig you could say. but TLDR: Dogs are artillary guns, Humpbacks carry stuff, Hammerheads do recon, Mantis' are kinda like APCs, Quadarchs are Slouch 2.0s that can climb really well, Wide-Eyes are Humpback 2.0s, Should-Slouches have very big shoulders with guns on them, Raptors are as fast as cars,Tri-Rolls are as fast as cars on the highway, Taranchulas are are kinda like tanks that can climb obtuse cliffs, idk, Moths are kinda like bombers, Fences make force shields around them selves, idk 2, Pheonix's (?) are Moths 2.0s but with rear guns.

This kind of reminds me of a specific Minecraft Mod, It involves "Parasites" which evolve overtime- The Mystery Boxes give me those kinda vibes, The more Mystery Boxes there are, the more combos to make. Kinda like evolution (I guess), They can find different combinations to fight and cause more havoc.
