Guys it’s been confirmed, Flying Bark has left LEGO Monkie Kid. They’ve had way too much on their plate, and are currently having to work on the ATLA movie. So yes, Wildbrain is working on LMK now. While this is sad, I don’t think this should discourage anyone from watching LMK :( The VAs are the same, the writers are the same, overall everything is the same except for the animation. I think we should give Wildbrain a chance! They literally animated Carmen Sandiego, so I think we can trust that it won’t be TERRIBLE. Other than that, let’s not focus too much on the visuals, you guys,.. Animation ain’t everything when it comes to a show! We will still have a BEAUTIFUL story with the same writers that made us so attached to this lovely cast of characters! Come for the animation, stay for the story

Agree with the rest, but the animation is what brought people to the show in the first place 😭 Like, it's just too choppy, a downgrade of quality but I don't blame them since it seems they aren't experienced with 2D (as some other comments who are familiar with their work have said).

Ok so to clarify with this whole trailer/controversy: Flying bark studios is obviously not animating this season, people theorized that it’s due to them animating the upcoming avatar movie, so Monkie Kid is being animated by WildBrain Studios. It looks more stilted and cheap because from my understanding WildBrain still hasn’t gotten the same skill with 2D as their 3D animation which can be seen with Ninjago’s “anime” episodes which are in 2D. Those have the same kind of art quality but since those were back in 2019/2020 things might’ve changed in skill and this trailer is only unfinished because from what I’ve seen in this trailer there are some genuinely good shots and don’t have the same stilted movement most scenes do. Regardless I’m positive WildBrain will get better as time goes on, they’ve made stunning animation with Ninjago, and Sonic Prime, and luckily the same writers and Voice actors will be in this project. In my opinion I will be cautiously optimistic about this whole ordeal because I’ve seen the bangers WildBrain did, look at the ninja vs cinder, but I do know they have HUGE shoes to fill just please do not harass the animators because they are working their best and with what they have.

Ik who the do not harass the Aniamtiors part but I just found out the Avatar part. Wild brain studios is mainly known for 3D not mainly 2D or heck even hand drawn episodes. All I'm just saying if they make it 2D rig, at least try to make it look like anima. If not and it's hand drawn, at least try to study the art style and animation of the show before actually make a season.

Or they're the easiest one to blame/turned to a scapegoat.I mean Wukong...needs no further explanation,we all know his absolute wack of a past.Macaque is basically Monkey Maniac part 2:Electric Boogaloo,to the point that the mythical dog Diting doesn't have the courage to reveal him because him & Wukong combined can wreck the entirety of hell back then.And for MK,just reframe him in a bad light based on what happened in season 4 final.And the fact he's Wukong's disciple & responsibility,added with his mysterious origins. It's perfect,whether or not they did anything wrong,it's believable.

Its disappointing that the studios have changed but if they have their hands full, I`m willing to wait 10 more years for them to finish their other projects and take their time with lmk. The animators deserve better. However, I will be giving the new studio a chance as long as the writing is still good. And I think they should have some more time touching up on the in-betweens. Its a bit choppy but lets see how it goes.

With bangers like Sonic Prime and Carmen Sandiego by Wildbrain. I am more bewildered at how bad the trailer was then disappointed....? Even Dragons Rising is genuinely beautiful. So, yeah. The animation threw me off more than anything. They can do a LOT better than that in my opinion. I am not mad, more so disappointed.

as much as some of the shots in this trailer are... well... for lack of a better word... underwhelming I'm going to give Wildbrain my benefit of the doubt and not judge the animation too much for all we know the show might look even better than the trailer and the trailer was just an afterthought/they just didn't have as much time to make it but like I said; I'm putting my trust in this studio's hands, they have big shoes to fill especially with how beatifully the previous studio animated the show, so don't dissapoint me too much Wildbrain
