Despite all of the Lady Bone Demon's boasts and how the rest of the cast were thinking that Wukong couldn't win against her, we see firsthand that when Wukong doesn't pull his punches, he really can wreck her shit. The only thing that was holding him back was essentially his hesitation in harming the innocent girl being controlled by the Lady Bone Demon.

Stone monkey really is a monster. Also very realistic too. He didn't want to hurt the child but knew and accepted that he very likely had to do so in order wipe her out. To bad this is a kids show, else the lbd arc would've ended right there😂

That was the entire point of Wukong's journey. The entire Journey to the West had Wukong be so temperamental that he kept killing others left and right. He was taught to have more restraint and learn not to just slaughter his enemies. I think that's the entire reason he suggested the Samadhi Fire. He wanted a means of using a power that can defeat the Lady Bone Demon without killing the host. Given how the Samadhi Fire had actually freed Macaque from the Lady Bone Demon's control, it wasn't a bad idea.

Wukong had her on the ropes the whole time. And yet, S1 E9 as Macaque said ... "The old you would've leveled this whole mountain range just to stop me". That implies he still never used his full power. I mean, bet you if he went all out like literally full power, Mk and everyone in that area would die. So, I don't believe for a second that in any of his fight scenes he for real went all out. I know this show focuses more on his successor and Mk’s growth. Season 5 will definitely focus on Mk learning about his half stone monkey self. But they make Wukong sound way to cool and have the best fights in this series. So I hope in future season’s we can get a little more of taste of how powerful Son Wukong really is.
