You know back in 2020 during lockdown, Muppets official channel posted a video of Kermit playing Rainbow connection in a pond. The beauty of the video is that it was raw: no intro, outro just Kermit singing and playing the banjo. They even made it look like he was actually recording himself. It was a little gem in a difficult time

*It is so great to see that LEGO uses so many new moulds to create these awesome head shapes. Back in like 2000, seeing such a specific head mould would have been such a rarity to see!*

They had the technology to make anything they wanted. They simply were lazy and sold gimmicks and lazy low numbered part designs. The common misconception and irony is how some say people steal ideas from LEGO while reality is LEGO started as a bootleg and made bootlegs for years on. And even still to this day they steal others designs and desperately sue some who alegedly steal from LEGO. We always had far better and cheaper alternatives, mainly coming from China. And those had far more complex pieces and builds which LEGO stole designs from. MOCs etc LEGO so called official designers get the full credit while the actual design was made by some pleb in the world who knows where and often 10-20 years ago too ... LEGO is always behind the competition and always behind the demands. Often decades. Muppets should've been a release back in 90s when we asked for it, somehow it became a thing in 2022 when people don't even play nor buy LEGOs. And still to this day their prices so as designs are lacking big time. To build anything normal you need to buy 20 huge sets which is expensive and even then you will lack the correct parts. I once bought 200$ worth of sets and parts from China filling kids room and the kids still to this day build something out of it. Good luck making anything with LEGO for 200$ other then once mid sized crappy designed nonsense by some 'expert' ...

My absolutely favourite thing about these is that the accessories call back to the original muppet show (not the disney muppets, imo disney ruined the muppets), eg; - Fozzie’s Banana: Reference to the unknown “Banana Sketch” which is the main plot point of Season 1 Episode 14 - Statler’s Cup: Reference to Season 1 Episode 22, in which a rat sings “Don’t Sugar Me” while inside a teacup on the ledge of Statler and Waldorf’s box - Statler’s Sign: Reference to Season 4 Episode 24, both Statler and Waldorf have these signs in their box in this episode - Rowlf’s Bust and Sheet Music: In Episode 13 of Season 3, Rowlf plays the 2nd Movement of Beethoven’s Sonata Pathetique (yes, the notes are actually correct, it is only missing the melody line but it would look messy with it included), during which Beethoven’s bust falls asleep Let me know if there’s any I’ve missed

The rainbow and the banjo that Kermit had was a reference to the song he sang while he played the banjo. It was called “why are there so many songs about rainbows”

The sheet music says _Sonata No.8 "Pathetique" 2nd Movement, Ludwig Van Beethoven_ which with my limited knowledge of reading sheet music does seem to line up with what I'm hearing, more or less. Lacks a time signature but the printing is so small, it looks cleaner without it 🤷‍♂️

Really looking forward to these in May. One of the best licensed CMF series to come out considering the amount of overall effort that went into every single one of these characters. Favorites though probably not the most elaborate presented would be Kermit, and Rowf the Dog. The Beethoven bust is absolutely hilarious. Didn't expect an alternate expression.

The Muppets series is one where I don’t mind getting duplicates. I can get more Beakers to play out the Muppet Show episode where he accidentally cloned himself, and get multiple Gonzo to sing “Dancing with Myself” like in Muppets Tonight.

A Muppet set theme would be amazing! I'd love to see Lego do something like the studios theme, but with Muppets. You could have different characters as the cast and the crew behind the scenes. (Much like that cancelled Disney World ride.) They could even have the muppets filming classic movies. Imagine getting a new head mold where Gonzo is Darth Vader.

I was thinking a big theater build for all the figures and some smaller builds for scenes and such like Kermit's swamp or something. Lego doesn't usually do sets for the minifigure line so I'm making my own like Gonzo's stunt bike and uther idias based of the movies or sbow.

For my birthday my Auntie got me 20 packs of this series. I was so happy I really was happy. She picked random bags here's what I got 1 Miss Piggy 2 Swedish Chef 3 Waldorf 4 Repeat(Miss Piggy) 5 Animal 6 Janice 7 Repeat(Swedish Chef) 8 Repeat(Miss Piggy) 9 Repeat(Animal) 10 Statler 11 Repeat(Janice) 12 Beaker 13 Dr Bunsen Honeydew 14 Beaker(repeat) 15 Janice(repeat) 16 Gonzo 17 Kermit the Frog 18 Repeat(Gonzo) 19 Fozzie Bear 20 The last bag was a Repeat of Animal All I'm missing is Rowlf the Dog but I think I did really well getting 11 out of 12 with random bags. I'm still on the hunt for Rowlf

Actually Kermit always played a four string up until The Muppets (2011) then changed to a five string. So the accessory is accurate if you assume he's broken a string, lol

The Lego Camilla the chicken is actually a new print. Same piece but if you compare the eye it’s definitely the muppet eye and not the standard chickens print. So technically a new print which wasn’t needed but a cool addition.

That series is great! My ideas for next 12 characters: Dr. Teeth, Zood, Lips, Pepper, Sam the Eagle, Lew Zealand, Sweetums, Scooter, Uncle Deadly, Clifford, Bobo(or host Wolly) and Crazy Harry with Pepe and Rizzo as accessories. What do you think?

My only issue with this is the number of characters. This has 12, the Sesame Street set has 6, and a minifigure case has space for 16. I wish the CMF was 18 so we could have 3 cases of 8 figures with all the Muppets.

I was never a fan of the Muppets in general but I always liked the Swedish Chef. However, as I grow older and older, I'm seeing myself more and more on Statler and Waldorf 😂 Fortunately this is still 4€ in Europe, though. Which is the maximum I think ANY minifigure is worth. At that price, I'm getting a complete set for collection purposes. Had they bumped it to 5€ though and I'd be out.

For a piece of plastic toy that have zero play value 4+ is too much. Especially in Europe let alone anywhere else with lower cost of living pays. I am not insane nor really hyped to buy something that I asked for back in 90s, they are too late with hypeing this ... The fandom was bigger then from what is it now. The only alternative we have is a bootleg for 50 cent or 1 dollar from China with free shipping and that is the only sane money I give out for this. More important I will see what I am buying. Not supporting this gambling idiocy they pull on us. Especially it's an awful example for the kids. They get hooked onto gambling and their life ends sooner then it should ... Thanks, but no thanks.

I’m in love with these, Rowlf is my fav so as long as I get him. If they do a series 2 I’d love if they did a Kermit but with his scrunched head whenever he’d get overwhelmed. (I doubt Lego would make a new head mold of Kermit though). Side note: if they make Scooter for series 2, it’d be very easy to mod a scene from the muppet show where Scooter gets a clockwork Kermit to help out backstage. :D

This is my favourite minifigure series of all time even topping The Simpsons because I can't even choose a least favourite I'm not too fond of Statler and Waldorf but I really like how they came out but Waldorfs tea cup accessorie is so lame I mean we got it in white with Petunia Pig from the Looney Tunes series. I wish it was a new colour like a black or something but oh well. I still love this series hope they do what they did with The Simpsons do a series 2 that would be cool I'd like Scooter, Dr Teeth, Robin, Sam the Eagle and many others

I cannot wait for this series, however here in Australia we don't get this until June 1st. We had this with Looney Tunes and MCU figures where they came out a month after US release, I cannot wait to display these on Sesame Street with the other characters

I've got so many custom Muppet Lego mini figures in mind. Nigel the Conductor is big on my list of ones i want to make. A spare Kermit would be perfect for the head. And for the body, a dark red tuxedo and matching dark red Lego legs. I've also got plans to make a custom JP Grosse from a spare Waldorf i have.

Cool & unique Minifigures, but I’m probably not as inclined to get them or at least collect them all compared to maybe Simpsons or Looney Tunes as I didn’t really grow up watching the Muppets as a kid. So the nostalgia and relatability doesn’t hit me as hard as it might to others. Although I know some of them through perhaps family guy cutaways But if I had to pick out a few favourites, then it would be Animal, Fozey bear (or whatever his name is), Beaker’s quite funny and the two old guys. I apologise for my lack of knowledge of the franchise.
