I'm afraid that you missed a few pieces on the back. The plug in on the back is supposed to have a technic cylinder, pin, and a round white stud with a hole in it to represent the white input jack.

Friendly tip: don't blow on cartridge pins. It does more harm than good. Use a qtip and isopropyl alcohol to clean off the dirt.

While I myself probably would never buy an NES in terms of actually playing it, other than for collection purposes (though I would purchase a Famicom to play instead since I love both the name, and design of that console way more), I do love how well the designers captured the look of the 1985 console, from the controller, to the cartridge, to the console itself, and even the CRT TV the LEGO NES comes with, all look incredible when fully built, plus, I love the little Easter Egg of the end of World 1-2 from Super Mario Brothers inside the back of the built system! :D I may get this at some point! :)

Tip: you can actually plug real RCA cables in the RCA ports on the NES and the TV! Don’t try it though because the little pieces may get stuck.
