I just found this video and channel today; subscribed! I have a lot of the old pirate sets in storage; I need to retrieve them and do some parts inventories. I also got 2x Barracuda Bay late last year to build the same MOC Nathan talked about earlier, and then at the last 2x VIP event, I bought two more as well as a second treehouse set... yes, that's right; 4x Barracuda Bay, and 2x Treehouse. I have some serious MOC ideas, and I may also pick up a second blacksmith set if the MOC Nathan referred to is one that's online anywhere.

Awesome!! Yeah you could Moc up something sweet with 4 barracuda bay sets that’s sick. If you do I would love to see it. Honestly it’s a shame Lego hasn’t considered bringing back the pirate theme especially after the success of barracuda bay. Not sure why they keep waiting their time with these new themes like monkey kid. They are passing up a gold mine 😂

@@kickinitwithbricks2004 I agree! I would love to see the pirate theme come back full-time. My plans for my Barracuda Bay sets also involve the Treehouse sets; the brick-built bridge in the treehouse is too cool a concept not to use in something pirate-themed. I also have several castle sets from the late 80s and early 90s in storage, and I have some ideas for involving them in some way in whatever I do with the blacksmith set. Pirates vs Castle? I'm thinking cannons will give the pirates the upper hand.

@@jacksonstarky8288 I agree totally pirates vs. castle would be awesome! I tried my best to combine Ninjago/Pirates into our Ninjago bay. I think I may take it to the next level when I build our new tables and redo our city. I wish I had complete sets of my old castle sets like you do. I really wish they would bring back castle as well. I bought the new 3 in 1 castle but it hasn’t come yet. I think it’s going to be pretty underwhelming compared to what they did with the new blacksmith. We will see though.

Thanks I appreciate it! Yeah your probably right but it’s mostly my fault for not advertising it more. I probably should do that but I never want to push anyone to subscribe. This is pretty much just a super fun hobby for all of us and it’s fun to make the videos and chat with people that enjoy lego as much as we do. I never wanted to treat it like a job 😁

Wow, you literally had the same idea as me. Pirates vs Ninjas. I have a similar setup at the moment. I'd kill to get back my old sets like forbidden island and skull eye schooner. I'm also yet to build my blacksmith.. this is getting spooky.

Seriously man I wish I had all my old sets as well. Most of them are so beat up from when I was a kid I can barely get them back together. That’s awesome you are going the same route as I am. I wish more people would use barracuda bay in their city’s. If you ever get a video or some pics of your setup feel free to post them here I would love to see it!

I recently purchased 2x Barracuda Bay in order to build the "Barracuda Shipyard" that MOC Your Bricks made a video for. I built the two islands, and then sorted 4,000 or so parts. I've been stalled out on it since then. I bought a few small tables and some baseplates. Including 6 blue ones to cite the pirate cove. I love how your pirate cove looks! I have the baseplate and a few pieces from Forbidden Island myself. I have the 3-1in1 ship, I want to turn it into the tavern because I will get a ship out of the Barracuda sets. My goal is to build a pre-industrial Lego town with Blacksmith Shop, an upcoming MOC I want to build from 2x Blacksmith shop, and then I'm going to have to build a few more village MOCs, buy the 3-in-1 Creator Castle this summer, buy 2x of the "Castle in the Forest" from the Bricklink Creator program (assuming it gets made), and then eventually get to work on a large centerpiece castle. Wow!! What you are planning sounds absolutely amazing. The barracuda shipyard is awesome! I really hope the 3 in 1 castle is good. Other than the pirate ship and the camper I honestly haven’t been a fan of the 3 in 1 sets. If the castle is awesome though I will probably buy 3 and make a giant castle as well lol. I do also hope they move forward with the “Castle in the Forest” Moc. It would be an amazing set. I would love to see your progress in the future on your pre-industrial lego town! @@kickinitwithbricks2004 Looking at the price that Lowenstein Castle is going for, I really want to buy 10x of Forest Castle if I can. I wish my dad or in-laws would help! It's a sure moneymaker because of the limited run. Eventually sell 6 sets, turn 2 into a MOC, and save 2 in box for my 2 girls, who are in Pre/K right now but love playing with my sets. I am going to eventually get 2 extra Blacksmith Shop to keep in box for them. Right now I can't even get a third one to build my 2x MOC! 😂 Looking at the price of the 2008 modular sets, these early Castle sets are going to be gold. Depending on how many sets I want from the Bricklink program, It's a lot of stuff to buy all in 2021. Too much! But it will be so worth it in even as little as 3 years. The Windmill would be great in my setup, and the dungeon adventure set would be great to add under a hill in my eventual forest area. Then I could use my layout for Brickquest or D&D. None of that will fit on my current 2 folding tables. I'm going to need a barn like Bevin to do all that! I had better get ready for work. Thanks for letting me bend your ear.

@@Nphen haha no problem! I know I can’t believe how much some of these old sets are going for. You are right to Invest in these new sets coming out they will be gold. That’s awesome your leaving a bunch of sets for your girls. Right now I am thinking about taking out a small loan out of my 401k to get the remainder of modulars I don’t have. I figure if I don’t get them now I may never get them with the way prices are skyrocketing right now lol. Then when my daughter is grown up she can sell them all and put a nice down payment on a house or something 🤣🤣🤣.
