As usual this is very cool. It like the way you show and explains, like a bricktechnology asmr video with clear voice over, this is a sort of relaxing engineering for me to watch this video ! Idea for next creation (or to be honest : things I want to see) : a functional tachometer in LEGO using the coil / magnet. It is always hard to create a tachometer in lego which display speed of a shaft (rpm) instantly with sort or accuracy. For instance I have made long time ago a centrifugal tachometer but it is not very accurate and has a lot of hysteresis. Other solution includes a sort of friction tachometer with weight but again not very accurate. So why not combining the magnet / coil you make to make a functional tachometer as in real and see how it can be accurate (plus you can reuse in other video instance of your rpm-meter next).

God I discover only now your KZbin Channel, great works ! I notice the new switch is very hard to operate, did you modify them in any kind ?

It‘s not the latest pneumatic switch, but the previous one, 4694cc01. I don‘t modify parts. If I started, there‘d be no stopping point. I just use some silicone oil for lubrication. The remaining resistance must be overcome by the engine. I wish there was a more efficient pneumatic valve… Nikolaus

@@mr_kleinstein6256 Hello, are you sure ? The switch are 19474 (light gray with two hole on the side) for me, not the 4694cc01 (dark grey with two holes on the bottom). In any case this is brilliant to make it works, I did not manage to succeed with the new (light gray) switch.

Oops, of course you are right with your remark! I was checking with the wrong model (marine steam engine), but it makes no practical difference - both switches behave in the same way. They‘re both extremely stiff.@@Nico71Fr
