I love the ranger's hideout build. I would love to see it in the dark with a soft flickering yellow light coming from the lantern. Well done on all of those!

Thank you! I haven't experimented with lighting options before, but perhaps I shall look into it...

Wow! Those are great! Did you buy another Rivendell to do this or just break yours up? Very good detailing on them! I really like the bridge with the Elf guarding it! Nice music too! I use it as well for my videos!

Thank you! I sadly committed the sin of disassembling my Rivendell to make these... I have a bad habit of doing that. I think the hubris that I can make something better (if given enough time) comes from my childhood, when Lego designs were frankly a lot worse than they are today.

@@BricksAndDice mmm yeah. I get that! I have the problem that I have the pieces, but I don’t know what to build. It’s not that I don’t know how to build I just don’t know what lol! I can’t build anything though because i don’t have infinite parts. So finding something I want to build, can build, and will keep built I find hard. I usually make LOTR Mocs because those are the ones I would keep built longer. But even with them I have trouble. If you have any suggestions please let me know!

@@lotr_bricks Heh, I know the feeling... design paralysis is so real! That's kinda why I wanted to do alternate builds. I have no illusions that these MOCs are not ideal, they are very limited by the pieces I had available. So once I had admitted to myself that it wasn't going to be perfect, it was a lot easier to actually get something done! You kinda have to trick yourself... I hope that works for you too! That, or try to build the perfect version of something really small, just to get it right, and then expand from there slowly.

Sad thinking rivendell was dismantled for this, but these are super cool mocs and really creative.

Great builds! I can't wait to pick up Rivendell for myself hopefully next year. What torso/legs are you using for those rangers? They're perfect for Ithilian Rangers!
@BricksAndDice11 ай бұрын
Thank you! Hopefully Rivendell goes on sale sometime for you... The torsos I got off Pick-a-Brick Online, they are originally from the Viking Ship and Midgard Serpent set. The legs are from the Build-A-Minifigure station in a Lego store a couple years ago... I'm not sure where you would get them now. (Other than Bricklink, but I imagine they're pretty expensive. Dual-molded legs tend to run 1-2 dollars more than normal legs). But yes, they are awesome for Ithilien Rangers! I'm thinking of making Lord of the Rings faction videos at some point, what do you think of that idea?
