Yeah I’ve been collecting for 7 years and have never had a problem besides once when they forgot a single piece but it wasn’t really even needed

I bought this set at target and I didn’t have any issues with this set the only issues I had was with the walls which I thought we’re supposed to look smooth on the outside like a normal house instead they open outward but it’s a really cool set I hope your son finds joy in lego again. Lego home alone is such an amazing display piece.

I have been building lego for many years. I can say in the hundreds of sets I have done. Only 2 have ever had a piece missing. One was a 1 by 1. And the other was a stickers set for the sonic set.

I used to build 18+ Lego sets as a 8+ year old and the reson I say that is I would sometimes be missing a piece or even a bag once and got a replacements but it was just me and I found them later cause as a kid it took me longer just like you guys. Lego is generally good with this stuff. Not to say they never make mistakes though. Keep on building 😁

I’ve only once ever been missing a piece. Literally every single time I’ve thought a piece was missing…. It wasn’t. I would find it. Hate seeing people complain about missing parts knowing they’re just messy

I’ve only ever had 1 missing piece in the 250 Lego sets I have. It was a technic beam for a creator 3-in-1 set. Most of the time the pieces might be on the floor or left in the bags that were thrown out.

where did you buy this from? there's no way a sealed set sent directly from lego had that many missing pieces. even if you bought it online from walmart, they use a third-party selling process. so i guarantee you bought a set that somebody had already opened up and stole the pieces from before resealing it and selling it/returning it.

I wish I had the chance. At least i could build the Santa's visit just before christmas wich in my opinion works well as the neibour house for the McCallisters since it looks somewhat similar to the movie. I just didn't feel like this building experience for this set was the same after I finally got the set few months later.

That is very unfortunate. I have had missing pieces from sets before but never that many that you had in the home alone set. Sorry you had to go through this. I got the home alone set just before the price increases and it is in my sealed collection until I get enough room to display it. My worst waiting ever on a lego set recently has to be the new back to the future DeLorean set which I first had to wait 5 months for then order it on backorder and it first said it wouldn't ship until September 25th then the next day it got moved back to December 9th which is 12 days before my birthday so if it would had been delayed again I would had been very upset because that would had been probably a full year of waiting for that set which thankfully it has turned around and I should have the set by tomorrow or Thursday if lucky.

I bought the Harry Potter trunk set from target when it first came out & it had like 3 pieces that was supposed to have extras of it but only came with 1 or 2 of each

Oh that's very unfortunate seems kind of common with Lego missing pieces I bought the Lego tree house that came out a few years ago and it was missing half of the box there was only like six bags and I think there was like 18 that it was supposed to come with contact with Lego and Amazon that we ordered it from was actually more helpful than Lego and they were able to send it the new one in like 2 weeks

Are you sure the missing pieces are Legos fault? They have great service, and rarely it happens that piece is missing, but 120? I think this set is just too hard/big for your kids (although when I was 8 I also built those large sets, but I started very young). Just wait a few years ;).

there are times when the set assemblers at the LEGO factories accidentily leave out bags... it happens for one reason or another. Not very often mind you, but it does occasionally happen

You guys seem to get problems with sets there in North America. I have never encountered such issues here in Europe. I think it is a packing and shipping error along the way. Altho the video is pleasant to watch, I don't think the title is a positive one and should be changed to something like "lego adventure" type. Dramatizing and catastrophizing pieces missing to the point of a ruined family holiday is a big lament
