This is exactly how I feel about the Animal Crossing sets! I was so excited when I first heard about it and saw the teaser videos but after actually seeing them in pictures there's something about it that feels so.... meh... to me, I don't know what it is exactly but that is the best way I can describe it. The minifigures are cute though, wish we'd just gotten them as a cmf series. I would've happily bought them all. Also YES to Beauty & the Beast PLEASE.

So glad that you do this video series. Most LEGO KZbinrs make it their brand to just buy buy buy any and every LEGO product in site. It makes the viewer think that that’s the way you should collect. In reality, LEGO is expensive and the average person isn’t going to have all the money to drop on it. Thanks for being relatable with this series, your normalizing saving money😂👍

The lego star wars wave of january is quite pathetic a battle pack and little kiddie set, i know people are going crazy over the battlepack, but i dont care about battlepacks, i prefer medium to large sets, i hope there will be better surprises later, the harry potter ones however look quite promising

That’s the thing a battle pack is a pack more than a set. Lego sets have a focus on builds which is why Lego Harry Potter tends to do better. Star wars is good with vehicles more than anything. Marvel is stuck somewhere in between

Idk about the battlepack take. If you replaced the phase 1 helmets with GCC, surely you have a ton of spare phase 1 helmets lying around. You could always take off the helmet hole P2s from the BP and make a phase 1 army. The value for money on it is just crazy to pass up imo

I saw a MOC on Rebrickable to complete the Sandman with legs so it can be placed in any city as well as display him with the other buildable figures. Looks cool too as he'll be a complete figure.

A bunch of the January releases are already on shelves at my local Target in the US 🇺🇸. I got the creator camera and Sandman for Christmas, and bought a few series 25 Minifigures.

Lucky, my target has been WIPED OUT for weeks. The rare typewriter or Optimus here or there, but the icons, creator+, and other kind of "luxury 18+" sets have been GONE. Honestly though, they've never really been great stocking them.

For the Clone Battlepack, I've been using the binocular attachments from the 501st specialist pack to cover the helmet holes and to make a personal legion that specializes in night battles/planets like Umbara. For the Animal Crossing sets, what if they were designed like the City theme, being modular with baseplates/environment builds so that you're building an island set by set like how the Harry Potter sets connect into a giant dollhouse Hogwarts? Although I think that would affect the pricing due to the more pieces and sophisticated builds...

I'm not sure when the Harry Potter sets come out. Those are the only ones on my list of purchases alongside the Chinese New Year sets. But those I'm still considering leaving for later apart from the Dragon which I'll buy 2 copies of anyway, so one of them I'll get on the 1st of January.

I never buy the Lego sets soon after they are released now. For the past year, I was mainly buying sets released in the previous year, 2022. Now I'm gonna buy sets released in 2023. Nowadays, I'm more aware of when sets retire and try to buy sets on discount. My Lego collection is quite vast (not as vast as Duckbricks though). Space in my display cabinets is dwindling. The Daily Bugle was the last big Lego set I bought.

Honestly it is never worth buying sets day one unless it comes with a rare gift with purchase or if it is something like the Nebulon-B, at least in the US. For reviewers it is better to buy the sets before the official release date if LEGO is not going to go after them. For general consumers wait two months and some money can be saved.

I love what this battlepack includes as i don't like unofficial lego, and i don't think shock troopers will come out in magazine exactly because they're in battlepack. Also, B2 are back. I haven’t picked it up myself but I saw it at the Lego store and I personally liked it more in person than the photos. I love the idea and the dinosaur throughout it. I’ve also seen people mention how they want to customise the exhibits which I thought was super fun. I think it would absolutely be worth getting when there’s a promo you really want or next time there’s double points

Let your Animal Crossing Minifigures live in more realistic LEGO homes. I got 31139 and it's okay, I just wanted to use it as a build for other home designs seen in the American Midwest.
