It would be cool if in the next wave we got a special variant of the propeller piece that is shaped like Tails' tails and a special tail piece that just has a technic pin at the end so we can make his tails actually spin

Of course I'm more interested on the display than the play features of these sets, but both seems to be so well done. I'm glad they decided to make the characters as minifigures, different from Mario sets.

I think for me I will display the Egg Man Mech, maybe the plane, and hopefully the loop if I can make it look good

Luckily for me a have a ton of brown and green pieces from Minecraft so I can make a proper display, but otherwise yeah, the sets aren't that good at display. But again it's aimed for kids, most adult fans who want it for display most probably will sort something out with the pieces they have

This system with the ramps and loops definetily works much better for this theme and playstyle than with the stuntz stuff. Fun showcase on the sets Ross!

I love these sets so much! Edit: for context on the badniks (the robots), the ladybug is called motobug, the fish one is called a chomper, the crab one is called a crabmeat, and the bee one is a buzz bomber.

What do you think would be a better way to get all characters: A: get sonics green hill challenge and tails workshop B: get death egg robot and Amy's animal rescue island

I would go for option A for playability, option B for display and it's cheaper

Option A gives you 2 of the same sonic. Meaning you have 2 wink faces sonic. I am still trying to figure out how to get all the figures but not the whole wave

Really hope this theme succeeds and continues. There’s so many things LEGO can do after these five sets. First off there’s a lot of characters they can give us; Knuckles, Shadow, Rouge, Super Sonic, Silver, Cream, Metal Sonic, Charmy, Vector, Blaze, Big and many others. Then locations, LEGO has gotta give us sets with other location besides Green Hill; there’s the Labyrinth zone, the Marble Zone, Sky Base zone, Chemical Plant zone, etc. And there’s several other Eggman robots and vehicles like the Death Egg that they can do. LEGO better not chicken out on this theme. They have the potential to do with this set… what Nintendon’t 😁

i think for the death egg robot, you may have not put in thise clicky clacky joints in all the way, cus they are supposed to be pretty strong and hold up the rest of the body of the mech

@11:10 the bridge is refereicing how the some of bridges collapse when Sonic runs on them in the games. You can see the reference in the movies too. Its a nice touch and a very 'Sonicky' thing!

Big Sonic fan so these are tempting, but I wish they were more of a pseudo connected system. The two non track or "fighting" sets and weak...seems like they exist purely as a cash grab to force Sonic fans to buy them to collect all the characters. I wish they would have just made more of the Sonic diorama like sets, to connect using the technic pins. The pins were already attached on last year's set to do it. Ross I'm guessing the Sonic shooter would work better if hitting it straight on...but I understand from a filming perspective why you did it that way

Once Sonic collects all 7 chaos emeralds, he can ascend into his Super Form, where he glows gold with red eyes He gains the ability to use some chaos abilities and to fly

Personally love the DJ table, reminds me of the old Dreamcast commercial 😂 “Man, stay off the lightspeed!” Haven’t bought Legos since I was little, but these Sonic sets are speaking to me, especially the Death Egg Robot!!

Thank you for showing us all the sets. I almost skipped the Robotnik Mech, but it's actually pretty cool as a build and my kids would want that turtle lol. My 7 & 8 year old daughters like the look of these Sonic sets a lot more than the Mario ones. They played with my Green Hill Zone a bit when I first built it, and they love the Sonic minifig. they really want the Amy Rose and tails minifigs. That set with both is on the "for-sure" buy list. I'd say Nintendo should learn from this and make Mario & friends minifig sets, but Nintendo owns Sega, so... get it together Mario merch team?

The monitor with the single sneaker inside gives Sonic super sneakers, to help him speed up. The little bug badnik is called a Motobug. You can begin with the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog episodes, which aired on Channel 4 in 1993. All the episodes are now on DVD.

with the egg man death egg robot legs problem, the legs are on ratchet joints normally, what you did is didn't push them in enough. you should hear a click when they are all the way in.

I’ve seen a lot of people putter Sonic on wrong in the launcher. You have to put him on the two black pieces at the front. Then he will do the whole level and beat dr. Robotnik
