Back in this era, LEGO just didn't do weird hand colors like they did in the 90s, or like they do nowadays. That's why the Mr. Krabs figure has dark grey hands instead of red.

All the Lego Spongebob sets were so good. It's very upsetting Mega Blocks took the licencing but now that they don't have it anymore, we might be getting more Spongebob sets in the future.

Fish in Spongebob generally have lighter colored arms than their body, so this is technically accurate. I think this bus driver fish is based on one from a episode, that doesn’t wear a uniform. It’s just the hat, a nametag, and just some average shorts. So he should have been shirtless with the nametag, a darker underbelly, and yellow arms. Since Patrick isn’t duel molded for his shorts, it’s a 2008 set, I guess the bus driver would just wear pants. But looking up some of the other figures, they have some inaccurate colors. I don’t know why Mr. Krabs and Squidward have dark grayish hands. Also Squidward is the only character that uses a normal minifig head, where’s everyone else has their own head mold.
