I feel like if you're making it, you WANT to complete the build and have the outer panels and upper levels all in place when you finally declare it finished, but then you remove large sections for public display so you can see the exterior on one side and the interior on the other

Let's be serious, this would be a multi-million dollar project that even the best master builders of the Lego Group would balk at. No way an independent fan would ever be able to pull it off, even with a group of collaborators. I would suggest something like the Tantive IV, which would be about 5m (16ft) long. It's... Possible, tho you're going to need A Lot of resources and space, it will be the size of a ancient statue, so it should be capable of being put in a museum

If you're going with a minifig scale of 1:42, you might consider trying something like an Arquitens. I feel like that might be doable (25 feet long instead of 180 ft/55 meters). Other options would be a Nebulon-B. A Gozanti would be around 4.9 feet/1.5 meters (and you could get the some minifig scale TIE Fighters in on that action). I think someone's working on that. A GR-75 would also be cool, though probably kind of finicky due to the design.

that lego GR-75 probably would have the structural integretiy of an actual in-universe ship 😅🤣

Another way to picture the scale of a Star Destroyer is the scene in Empire Strikes Back when the Millennium Falcon hides on the back of one.

I'll be honest, while I knew this was an April fools joke from the start, I genuinely wasn't expecting to see an actual work in progress design.

It would be amazing for Disney to allow yall to build this in one of their theme parks!

For the sake of comparison, the size of this lego star destroyer would be almost as long as the colossal titan laying down.

I mean, this IS plausible. The question is, will it have an interior?

I mean, assuming a minifig is scaled to be about 1.8 meters high, and a Star Destroyer is only about a kilometer long, It’ll only have to be about 550 minifigures long.

If we take into account Darth Vader who measures 2 meters, a normal destroyer that is 1600 meters and a minifigure that is 4 centimeters, the result would be that the scale destroyer would measure 128 METERS LONG. No idea of the number of pieces but, it is more plausible than making the Death Star XD

If LEGO actually sold this set it would cost 89.990$. It is usually cheap because the price is actually a holiday sale price

I feel like something much more realistic of an idea is a minifig scale Tantive IV.
