MandRproductions reviews the 2012 LEGO Star Wars Sith Fury-class Interceptor! Set 9500. This LEGO set is based off Star Wars The Old Republic and includes an exclusive Darth Malgus Minifigure! The Sith Troopers can be found the 2013 Old Republic inspired Battle Pack. 748 pieces for $90 isn't ideal but I love this thing and would reccomend it to and LEGO Star Wars and Star Wars The Old Republic fan!

The sith troopers did come in a battle pack but the sith trooper in the battle pack had printed legs and the sith fury class interceptor had plain black legs and Darth Malgus goes for 50.00$ by himself

Dragon 25 plus in the sith trooper battle pack you got two different troopers. One in red and one in black. I think one is sgt (red) idk.

In my opinion, this set is the pinnacle of LEGO Star Wars design. Everything about it is impeccable, and the designers really went the extra mile to make this perfect - the clasp on the lower wing flaps, the swiveling control panel, the rubber technic piece keeping the wings together, and even just the sheer accuracy to the in-game model. If every set were this well-designed, I wouldn't mind them being over-priced as much. In fact, all of the Old Republic sets are like this, with the possible exception of the Jedi Defender cruiser, making them the favorite part of my collection. I really need to pick up a Darth Revan minifigure though, that's the only part of my Old Republic line that is missing.

​@@noahmaldonado5461 Not really, the furry class isn't a fighter it's a corvette, 328ft(100m) long 289ft(88m) wide, that's more than 3 times the size of the Millennium Falcon and in terms of over all size bigger than a Tantive IV. The only accurate thing about this set is the exterior appearance, one that actually is accurate to the original with all the interior rooms would be huge.

Its a very nostalgic set for me. 2012 My Parents first Said to me that I had already so much Lego so i shouldnt get any for Christmas but then I got this set. Since then My Collection is three times as large as it was then and i still get The ucs sandcrawler for christmas

The piece under the printed canopy is intended to be a ramp for Malgus to walk down when exiting. That’s also why the controls pivot out of the way

I love the slim, practical cape in the Malgus minifigure. LEGO should have done more one-hole capes when they were using that tougher material.

This was a white whale set for me. I pulled the trigger a few months ago and its such an amazing set. The build, the mini figs, the techniques are all awesome. It looks so sinister on display.

I would like to put here the fact that the fury-class infiltrator is NOT a TIE variant. It never was, nor will it ever be. The infiltrator's interior in-universe is slightly larger than the Millenium Falcon i think, and was designed, not as a starfighter, but as a sort of living quarters. It had enough beds to account for about 8 or 9 people, with 3 seats in the cockpit, a storage room, a sort of conference room for sith "meetings" n stuff ig idk, 2 escape pods, and an engine room. I think it's safe to say the ship was pretty big. TIEs? Definitely not that large lmao. They only had enough space for 1-3 people (depending on the TIE variant) and had only a cockpit. The size of the ship was mainly built up on the wings, two large panel things sticking out on either side. The Sith Fury-Class Infiltrator is still a really nice ship in the game, and especially in lego form. I think lego should've maybe made it a UCS build instead of a playset, though, bc alot of people keep thinking it's just another TIE.

Fun fact: I have every 2012 main box set except this and the gungan sub. It was my first year I got back into LEGO SW (I collected from 2003-2007) and the clone wars kinda ruined it for me. Had to get every set to make up for it, basically. Lol.

$90 is bit expensive just to have that sealed. i'm in the UK and I bought it used (no minifigs) with instructions for £40 on briklink and malgus seperatly for £5 so in total paid £45 where as you paid basically double what I paid just to have it sealed (with 2 more minifigs).

What about the rest of Darth Malgus? The rest of his face and his torso where never shown and I’m pretty sure that the other trooper had a different face from the one next to him. Also the troopers face isn’t an angry Coleen head but rather a common DC/MARVEL head used on Bruce Wayne, Loki, Yellow Jacket, etc.

If new star wars trilogy goes into old republic we will most definitely get more of those old republic sets,otherwise i think they may throw few of those every decade when they dont get new ideas they will be just too preoccupied with constant anniversary of some movie or new movies or tons of new shows and cartoons plus old reworked set i doubt they will do old republic any time soon

TamBrix22 dude I if you look closely under the radar of professional collectors and lego content creators, you can sometimes, by bidding, acquire this set, although used and without box and minifigures for just about 20$. since the minifigures except Darth Malgus the Sith cost like 5$ each on bricklink that means that you’ll pay 30$ which is half the price the full set costs on bricklink and up to 3 times cheaper than what the full set costs on ebay. I never got the point of paying disproportionally much for a sealed box and instructions. The box doesn’t give you anything except some resell value, and the instructions, you can find online. This leaves you with the lego and regarding that, used lego that is not severly damaged looks the same ( after a 5 min handwash) like brand new sealed store lego does.

Whenever my grandfather got into LEGO Star Wars he went Ham and bought pretty much every set he could get his hands on, and let me take the boxes. Most of them are just the box face but would those sell at all?

@@tam2237 TBH I do not know too much about brick link and sets there. The only thing I do on brick link from time to time is to buy minifigs as they are usually cheaper than on ebay. But from what I have encountered so far, boxes are only being sold on ebay. I doubt that boxes are sold on brick link, as bricklink just sells Legobricks/sets and minifigures but I would definitley have to double check that. Boxes nevertheless seem to sell on Ebay since there are enough people who are buying ,,cheap" lego star wars sets on ebay with the single purpose, of reselling them for a higher price. This results in a secondary market of instruction manuals and boxes which those people then buy to boost the value of the lego they want to resell, (if their acquired lego does not come with boxes or instructions). So I assume you could probably sell the boxes on ebay and someone would buy them but I wouldn´t expect too much and definetly do some research about the values/prices of boxes on ebay.
