Nice review, but you need to get that lighting under control. It was badly blowing out all the white bits, and the reflections off the box were pretty distracting. I'm not video pro, so I can't say how you would go about fixing it, but it's definitely something you could work on in the future. Again, I did enjoyed the actual content. Just try not to blind me, or make poor Gold Leader's helmet disappear into the background!

I think the split landed gear legs would help balance it on uneven surfaces like thick carpet or blankets and stuff. I remember when I played with my lego I often made them 'land' on my bed. Many sets are not stable on those surfaces.

Just bought this set at LEGO Store in Raleigh, NC, when they opened this morn! I have other UCS sets but was excited about buying my first “release day” UCS set. The Y-wing has never been one of my favorite ships from the series ( also looked kinda small on videos and photos when researching ) but let me tell: When I walked up to the store front and saw it displayed in person, the researching did it no justice, she was BEAUTIFUL!!!! Thanks for all the videos Ryan, you have certainly inspired me to start collecting again, feverishly

I love how they use some of the same pieces in the same places as the rogue one playset version. Like the droid body on the angle between the neck and the main body. The ion turret is made with some of the same pieces. And the small wing/banner piece making the rear angle on the nose.

Great review mate, was going to wait for this before ordering mine but my willpower failed and made the jump 6:00AM in Scotland yesterday. Can't wait to get this next week as I had purchased the UCS Millennium Falcon a few weeks earlier but currently have no space to display it so it's staying sealed for now. The Y-Wing is def going to help getting used to greebling the hell out of the Falcon when I get round to it! Keep up the good work :D

I have a Lego question - Can these very complex work of art be taken apart, put back into packaging and be restored to its original pre-assembled form? I think that would be useful if you have to move to another city. Would also be fun to take apart then do it all over gain.
