The reason the AT-RT got replaced was because it was very hard to master - the clones trained to ride it had to spent years working on it, and they had to learn how to ride living animals before they could even try.

I've always loved the AT-RT, honestly one of my all time favorite walkers, they're just so quick and agile. These are pretty nice builds but the legs don't impress me, I've seen a lot of nice scale accurate AT-RT builds.The body of it looks great though, as do the feet. I generally use the old dinosaur feet for my custom AT-RT builds.

They will never do microscale. Only minifig scale. And they said that they were working on a minifig tantive four, not sure if they quit or not.

As far as I'm aware, they were replaced because the Empire was all about fear and scare tactics. The same is for the AT-AT rather than the AT-TE. They weren't too concerned with proper tactical choices as they didn't expect much resistance, especially not from an army that can compete with their stormtrooper army.

I feel like this is quite a lot too tall- in the vehicle guide it says they are 3.2 metres tall or just under 2 figs tall and definitely too wide. But this is still a very good model and the best at a close scale in terms of preportions although I think brickden's is better

The reason why the empire stopped making the at-rt is because of quantity. The emperor wanted the empire to expand at an extreme rate so instead of spending the time to build those small quality vehicles he decided to make larger more intimidating vehicles that were more to scare off and to be more safe to use for the driver/drivers.

The AT-RT was a little more expensive than the basic imperial speeder bike, and AT-STs where much more expensive than the AT-RT so the imperial Vehicle corps was like no we need new stuff that doesn't look as cool as the old stuff
