Always wanted this as a kid, my little dumbass was too young to know it was long retired by the time it was on my radar but I wanted it none the less. Bought one off Ebay for a decent price few days ago, should come in soon. Good quality review appreciate it!

My only gripe with this set is the brown parts on the skirt or base of the ship. Why they didn't use the dark red is beyond me.

@@theairwaybat1830 yeah maybe not the best Slave 1 for accuracy, but I'd say it still looks good in it's own way

This is such a classic set. Every version of the Slave 1 is pretty good in my opinion. By the way, the original Lego Slave 1 set came out in the year 2000 not 1999. This was such a great review overall.

I remember wanting this thing for a year when I was a kid. Finally got it for my bday after getting on my mom’s case big time aha. Great review.

@@jonasjakobsen8767 The going price for this set used is about $150 US which I don't think it too bad. If you plan on getting a sealed one that could set you back $300 or more depending on the box condition. This is the second edition of the Slave I, for sure an upgrade compared to the first released in 2000. I grew up with the 2010 set but always wanted this one, if anything what this has over the first and most recent slave one sets (not the 20th anniversary one) is size. You also won't get any of those rapid fire shooters, just pretend guns and flick fire missiles. Fig selection is also drastically different between sets. Hope this helps answer your question. :)
