The biggest absurdity of the Boba Fett fig is that the mech build itself has the dark red gauntlets of the ROTJ armor, yet they still printed green gauntlets on the minifig and then re-used the minifig in this ROTJ set. ROTJ armor would have been perfect *especially* if they wanted to re-use it in this set.

​@@rodrign007Here's some since you are asking: Arm gauntlets are red in RotJ, and green in ESB. Arms and Legs Vest should be gray like the main body instead of sand blue (which they have gotten right before, on the previous set in 2017 that one just lacked arm printing at the time). This was just a Lazy Re-use of a figure. At 80$ I think it's good to see people bring these things up. Premium prices require premium quality and here I'm not seeing it where it matters. And well. The green cape and blue jet pack are also absent but the jetpack is the least of the problems with the figure. I like how they get Luke "right" by giving him the gray robes affected by sand and lightning from the scene. It's so inconsistent to see them take this much care to detail in the same set that they re use Boba lol

While it’s unfortunate he’s the same, I genuinely don’t think it’s a big deal since he had like 20 seconds of screen time and he’s still clearly recognizable as boba fett. I also expected him to be reused from the mech as soon as I heard there was a sarlacc pit so I didn’t even expect much. I think the red gauntlets would have looked awesome though, and even the blue jetpack

So, the Rex Microfighter is not impossible to find. You have been able to buy it on Target's site for 30 days, no issue. It's more likely the Thrawn set will be sold out everywhere than Rex's Microfighter though because it has more characters and would be shipped in lower quantities.

I think that the Desert Skiff set should be $40 but if they wanted to make it $80 then add another skiff and have around 4-5 skiff guards, Boba should look the way he does in TROJ instead of ESB but i didn't realise that the minifigures had slight changes and defiantly should have had the cape (although we know that Star Wars sets aren't Harry Potter sets because making it equal would be to difficult), and the Ahsoka set should have had 0 stickers and Ezra should have had pupils (unless if he got possessed in the show). Other than that great sets also Nien Nunb looks beautiful as he should be. Also sorry for the long comment.

I saw the skiff and was like, huh that’s a nice 40-50 dollar set. 80 bucks!? What is Lego doing. You could at least give Boba a cloth for that price, though after seeing the UCS Venator (and all the modern clones) I’n not that surprised. The Battle of Peridia looks good but the only reason I would buy it is because of Thrawn. (He’s my favorite Star Wars character) I do like the Ahsoka though. Missing Enoch is annoying for the price, though the Night trooper does look good. I also really hate the weird eyes Lego has been doing.

I know what their deal is: LEGO Star Wars is NOT their most successful theme. LEGO Star Wars G-CANON is one of their most successful themes. And so that's where the budget goes. No one is watching these garbage Disney-Star Wars shows. And no one is buying merch from them. So from the business point of view, it'd be extremely dumb for LEGO to waste budget on a new helmet for a character 99% of their customers doesn't know, doesn't care about and won't buy anyway. The ROI would be awful. Fans of the Ahsoka series - all 5 of them - should honestly be happy this set is even happening. 'cause if LEGO stuck to what's profitable, the only Star Wars sets we'd get would be based on real Star Wars, ie. Episode 1 through 6. I can bet with anyone that, between the absurdly overpriced Sarlacc pit set and the Ahsoka set, the Sarlacc pit will oversell it easily. In fact, the Ahsoka set will likely end up in the clearance bin as quick as all the other sets for these failed Disney+ shows.

These two sets are honestly the only two sets I’ll be buying day 1 for sure. All the other August Star Wars sets coming out I honestly just don’t care for. I mean I’ll definitely get them, but I’ll just wait. I don’t need to rush out and get them. The Peridea set is 100% a day 1 buy no question. The Sarlacc Pit set I might get, but for $80 is ridiculous and I might just wait for a sale. Plus there are so many other sets coming out from other themes like Marvel sets and the Ideas Jaws set that I’m definitely interested in.

Is it just me, or did they give Thrawn a black hair piece in this set? His hair is supposed to be a very dark blue like it was on the original minifig, which I sadly never got. Maybe I'm seeing it wrong, but I don't think I am.

@@ClassicStudStudios I can see that, I guess, but I still think there's a blue tint to it in live action. I'm normally not picky about LEGO minifigs (I'm way more forgiving about the clones than basically anyone I've seen or met), but this disappoints me a bit. Probably because Thrawn is my favorite character by far. But we do have the dual-molded legs and the correct rank plaque, so I can't complain too much.

Besides the cauldron, I can’t tell what the boba fett minifig is missing. Can someone please explain it to me, because I honestly can’t see any other inaccuracies between wpisode 6 boba fett and the minifig from the set?

Empire strikes back Boba Fett has green gauntlets where as Return of the Jedi Boba Fett has red gauntlets. Lots of other differences too

No minifigure has pupils, it's a glint, Ezra has that glint but it doesn't stand out that well

Anyone who still has the 2017 skiff is getting the best of both worlds. You can swap the head and pauldron of Boba, and you finally get Luke and Lando which should’ve been in the previous set. And they look great together. Almost identical. You can have Luke jump over to the second one and force kick that guy like in the move.

Isn't it a shame that a cool concept like this set is immediately ruined by price and inaccuracy? Sucks bc otherwise the skiff would be a buy I'd do on a purely vibes based decision, imagine just having a shelf with some sand on it and the sarlacc with this around it - but nah, HARD pass. We ought to hard pass on the ones that aren't pro-consumer. This is the "let's see how much they'll pay for it while we cut corners" test, my 2 cents is don't buy it

Very happy they did Nien Numb but maybe they should've put him somewhere in the 40th anniversary sets last year and making room for a 25th phantom menace character instead. Also eyes don't get pupils and it's annoying and Ezra skin tone is too dark.

I hope the skiff gets discounted because the individual elements look great including the figs. I do with they had the skiff and pit integrate better as the skiff clearly needs to be higher.
