The inaccuracy of the block for the game is a perfect compromise as the "!" block seen in the game is far less iconic and timeless, and likely wouldn't sell nearly as well. Also the fold out sections fit very well for the world based system of Super Mario 64 and wouldn't work as well with any other Mario game.

Yeah, idk why people are so angry about it. This is a fantastic tribute to Mario 64 and I think if it were a wing cap block it would lose a lot of that prestige.

@@blueknight4274 Every microfigure in the set could’ve used eye printing, why not just put another 1x1 plate for mario’s eyes and make him a bit taller? but also you just listed like 95% of the micro figures and they all need eyes. Peach and Yoshi don’t have *any* printing and they look so bad (you’re good btw)

It was like the storybook. Could’ve used more “stories”, Nintendo set (like you said) could’ve used more cartridges and that tv could’ve had more boards…. All missed opportunities and little sets they could’ve released. Quick $$ and fans want that stuff.

The no eye thing just works really well with the scale and aesthetic. In terms of printing this was just about perfect, I just think Mario’s cap should have the M. As for when you said the ice world needed printing, I genuinely have no idea what you’d print. It looks perfect without them. Sets like this don’t need more printing, it works perfectly as is.

Wow the attention to detail is incredible so especially with cool cool mountain My only complaint is the the micro builds for the characters don't rereally represent the characters well with the exception being Bowser Also koopa yhe quick should have been included

The only highlight for me it's the fact that this is a large brick built cube (even tho this things didn't exist back then). The rest of the set is really disappointing, I absolutely hate it, there's so much wasted potential. But that doesn't mean the video was bad, keep it up!...

Lol LEGO thought this block was from Mario 64 they literally didn’t do the research. Maybe it should’ve said question block and Mario 64, instead of Mario 64 question block. A name change would’ve solved all the controversy but ig no one at LEGO thought otherwise. Either way looks great and the open feature is so smooth “ if you have the rubber bands”

My only problem with this set is that there are only 3 of the 15 levels in Mario 64. If they had put all the levels in allowing u to swap them out with each other would have been nice. Even if it jacked up the price I wouldn’t mind.

Yo I just realized something the penguin build in the Mario set is exactly the same build as the penguin goons in Batman so Lego just reused the same build but instead made it blue that's the first time Lego use the same build for a completely different line of Lego sets the Lego Mario sets just weird thinking about how they use something from lego Batman in Lego Mario
