Der kleine Kran da im Video ist nichts gegen den großen roten Kran. Hab den 42082 auch, ebenso wie den gelben Schwerlastkran von 2013 und den Kettenkran von 2015. Aber der kleine da, ne, den hol ich mir nicht

This was my second large set, and I love it as a whole, however, I have to quote someone somewhere (Sariel?) "it feels like this set was designed by an accountant". The parts I like: 1. Very nice boom. Long yet very simple. 2. The chassis. It's only 3 beams height yet fully functional. It was pleasure to built and it is just plain beautiful. 3. Overall design. It just looks good! The things that bug me: 1. Outriggers. Just no. Apart from being too small they have an issue where after standing under pressure for a while the grey "crank-like" parts loose grip and slide off of the pins under their own weight. 2. The back of the "electric" box, the frame, and the chassis are connect by only two (!) pins. Two! Try lifting the model up and it just slides apart. 3. The choice of pin that holds the gear connected to the spool. Really? A friction one? It can barely rotate. There are red "switches" that keep the hook from falling down. The logic is unclear here. 4. The hole in the middle of the frame. I've fixed all of these apart from outriggers, which can be circumvented by adding actual weight to the "counterweight". This model seriously feels like they designed it properly and then were told by the sales department to start removing parts until it matched the expected pricing. There are indicators of where the parts were replaced by some poorer configuration. Hell, there's a large gap right above the rear license plate where the extendable outriggers "used" to be.
