Didn’t expect the pistons to be connected to the crankshaft, and the rudder seems modifiable in order to be mobile

@@globetrotter7778 you're right, I think the rudder part is the weakest in this design, could've easily been made mobile as well

One of the best small technic sets I'v ever seen actually
@WizardOfOssКүн бұрын
Didn't expect this mechanism, surprisingly cool! That said, €28 still seems rather much for a pretty small build with only a single function. I think the least they could have done was coupling the ailerons, with a simple lever to operate those.
@JetBlastPoneКүн бұрын
Single function? The ailerons and elevator can move! Also the piston and you can open the engine cover too
@WizardOfOssКүн бұрын
@@JetBlastPone Sorry, unlike Lego I don't consider every not fixated piece to be a "function". And the pistons are part of that one (admittedly cool) function. It all doesn't have to be fancy, like for the ailerons all it would take would be three gears and a lever to operate them. But hey, if you want to consider this a 15 function set, be my guest!

This playfeature is soo much better than in 42119 stunt plane when you had to roll the plane to make engine work. Definitely a day one purchase
@diatonicdelirium174315 сағат бұрын
You mean 42117? That one has only 154 pieces, and the designer Milan Reindl was generous enough to build 33+ MOCs free of charge! Best buy ever that little plane :)
@For891Күн бұрын
Although it has been employed previously, I’m really happy lego gave us a geared mechanism at this price point. I may even buy it. Maybe I’ll see what kind of fun I can have with an alt build or two. Thanks for the detailed review!

This plane is a great set! Some ideas for alternates are comming to my mind.🤩 It's just the designers could have added a second small wheel with axle hole. For example as flywheel. That would have increased moc-ability. As 4 wheeled vehicles are very common and a wheel with axle hole could have been used to drive a mechanism.🤔

It looks fun but for some reason the smaller sets all make me disappointed about the lack of B models. It feels like we should be getting more out of fewer pieces

Check rebrickable in a couple months, tons of alternate models by the community. But yeah, feels very cheap how the official sets don't have B models anymore

I hope one day Lego will find a good solution to swap rubber bands with springs, as they will break after a few years.

The propeller mechanism is pretty much the exact same as the one used by PattsPatt in his 42110 alternate build helicopter. Im not sure if they were the first to implement this design though

Where are the paper bags?
@RacingBrick2 күн бұрын
Not every set has a paper bag yet. It might depend on the location and date of manufacturing, since the factories are transitioned one by one to the new packaging solution.

If there's a setting on your side for the automatic translation of the video title and description, please disable it, it is pretty crappy.
@RacingBrick2 күн бұрын
KZbin added some new features recently, didn't have time yet to check, but apparently they enabled them by default. I'll take a look.
@RoadRageRod2 күн бұрын
@RacingBrick yeah, automatically translated titles/subtitles/descriptions and audio dubs seem to have gotten rolled out for all channels now within the last few weeks. Dubs and subtitles for normal videos can be deactivated from the viewers[shorts are another dumpster fire...], but i haven't found any settings in youtube or my google account to disable the often horrible automatic translations of titles and discriptions.
@RacingBrick2 күн бұрын
@@RoadRageRod as I checked, KZbin now adds automatic title and description translations for 10 different languages. I haven't found a way to check what they look like, I have to disable or delete them individually. This looks pretty annoying, I need to do more research.
