Wow, first video I found that didn't use rare parts, i have most of the parts. I'm going to build this but with positive caster, Thank you!

This is pretty solid, but as someone who has built LEGO suspension for many years, I have a couple suggestions: 1) the collar between the CV and the universal should not be there. Either both sides should be CV or universal (not mixmatch) -- for this system I would do both CVs as universals would move everything out and change geometry. The axle needs to float back and forth and the collar prevents it. LEGO elements are pretty precise but not perfect so this float helps fix the issue. 2) the bottom a-arm needs centering on the vehicle side. You could use half-collars on either side of the arm to do this. You will get a lot of slop and "random" caster on steering models. 3) Yellow shocks would be MEGA overkill (stiff) for all but the heaviest models. I would recommend gray if you're doing double shocks, or center a single yellow on top if that's what you have to work with. Alternately, shocks mounted shallowly will allow more leverage against the shock and provide softer performance and longer travel from a stiff shock. I hope I don't come off too critical. I really like this design, the animation is phenomenal, and I hope these tips help others to enjoy it more -- cheers! (and subbed!)

Also the half thick beams on the suspension would snap or bend lots

yeah, but if they would be connected to the beams on the side one and the opiside side ones in might not snap as easaly@@ILOVERIDINGMYBIKE

Could you please explain the caster problem

this is a great idea and pretty cool but in reality it doesnt work. legos are plastic and so they will bend especially if the suspension arms arent reinforced in some way. also that hub is for sure going to camber inwards and thesteering will be flimsy. im not just saying stuff im speaking out of expierence. for almost 8 years ive been testing different suspension types and configurations with legos and there are many that work but none that are robust, precise, compact and can handle a load. theres always compromise especially when using the larger lego tires which exert much more force on the components

Offloading having some camber isn't that terrible if I'm honest

Very cool animation. Curious to see your lua script. I am assuming you did this using ldcad. Am I correct? I really like the way components pause briefly before they slide into their positions.
