woah that is epic i love your channel. also i think you should keep on working on this at least put it on a vehicle cos i have questions like would it activate during turning or like how would it unlock its self

I think I will work on making a more compact/efficient version and implementing that into a chassis of some sort. In order to make one which can unlock I would need to add some sort of rubber band or spring loaded assembly. It's definitely work in progress. Thanks for the complement, and for watching and commenting!

Sir, you must have the most wrinkliest brain of all time. Absolutely brilliant! Do you think you'll ever work with mindstorm robotics on this channel?

Haha thanks! I doubt I will work with Mindstorms anytime soon though.

That’s really cool! I might use something like this for a vehicle later. I have the front and rear axle (front is my latest video) and I just need a gearbox and transmission. This would be very helpful, but I am not sure if I could add a gearbox to it. Maybe it would have to be attached to the input?
@gergelystechnicmodels85653 жыл бұрын
Awesome! Yes, the gearbox would have to sit between the drive motor and diff.

@@gergelystechnicmodels8565 okay that makes sense. Thank you and great work!

Amazing work! You’re design is clever and works very well, I wouldn’t be suprised if their was something similar going on inside your head. 👍 could we maybe see this integrated into some sort of truck?

Thanks! I will work on placing it in a RC chassis, but it will need quite a bit of modification before I do that.

Amazing work!! You should make your own supercar!!

This looks interesting, but I suspect the mechanism is not detecting speed difference, it is detecting travelled distance difference. Cause, unless I am missing something, wouldn't the diff remain locked after I have made alot of right turns? (and only as many left turns will reset it?). Notwithstanding I think this is a beautiful model and looking very nice and shows you have great and very enviable technic skills.
@gergelystechnicmodels85652 жыл бұрын
Yes good point. This mechanism could be modified with a kind of expanding flywheel which would detect speed, but I haven't figured out a way to make that work. Thanks for watching!

Really cool mechanism, but if you put it in a vehicle, wouldn't it lock the differential when you are turning normally (and wouldn't want it to lock)?
@gergelystechnicmodels85652 жыл бұрын
Sorry for taking so long to respond. You bring up a good point. A more realistic version would have the lock activated by a significant difference in speed between the wheels, not a significant difference in position. That was actually my original intent, but I couldn't make that work so this is what I ended up with.
