Verry cool. I hope someday you could partner with lego so its then available as a Set. And maybe lego could someday develope a telescope pneumatic cilinder, that would improve the weight lifting. An air tank reservoir wouldnt be bad at all.
@lucioswitch7 жыл бұрын
It's really hard (if not impossible) to see it as an official Set. I think that it breaks lot of TLG "rules" of playability, safety and reliability. But the instructions ara available. ;-) I used the air tanks during the test phase, but it works worse than without it.

Love how you "defy" the scale in your creations, they are absolutely huge! In a good way. But that fact that this thing has anti roll bars, etc., is amazing. And how in the world can those pneumatics lift such a cargo hold!?!? This vehicle just blows my mind in every aspect and detail. Keep on building! P.S. what's the music name? I like the tune of it.

Looks like the best technic moc I have seen. I only have 1 question/doubt: The way the 3 actuators are placed makes me think this bed can't lift shit.. It would be nice to prove me wrong in a video but in this one you only lift the empty bed. Also I'd like to add that, while it is a personal preference and others may not agree, it feels more of a great acomplishment when a technic model has as many mechanical functions as possible using as few motors as possible. Creating a beast with 10 motors does not impress me that much. Putting 1 motor near to the function it serves is way easier than creating complex gear trains to move everything with a couple of motors. Plus the fact that you make the model extremely expensive the more motors and PF generally you add. TO sum up I think it is a masterpiece on the looks but technically it does not thrill me. I wouldn't pay to buy instructions and pieces to build a technic set that would have 1 motor stacked next to the other.. 42009 crane building logic is what impresses me. tens of functions - 1 motor.
@lucioswitch8 жыл бұрын
+Andreas Priest It can lift just small weights, like the pins shown in the video, but nothing more. I don't think that the problem is the position of the pistons but all the leverages geometry. It 'a solution that takes into account many aspects, including the limits of movement of the pistons. This is not to say that can not be improved. About one motor or multiple motors...I respect your point of view (and honestly I like a lot too complex gear trains), but I build for myself not for selling intstructions (this is only a consequence), so I don't care about how much it will cost (moreover I reuse almost all the parts from the previous MOCs, accordingly It doesn't cost so much to me). I think that you underestimate the complexity of fit all the motors in the chassis, which has to be structured to withstand a weight of at least 3 times higher than an original set. Furthermore, I don't think is possible to create a driveable vehicle with only one motor, and from my point of view, the 42009 it's a cool set, but it isn't drivable, no suspensions, no IR control....and it's small!:-)
@abnmr28308 жыл бұрын
+Lucio Switch That's why I didn't say specifically 1 motor but as few as possible. I know it is complex to fit many motors in the chassis but it is complex in another way. I like complex in the physics and engineering if you understand what I mean. And yea, lego official sets are most of the times much simpler than most complex MOCs and it probably happens cause it isn't worth it creating really expensive sets cause who will buy..
@lucioswitch8 жыл бұрын
+Andreas Priest "Complex in another way" sums up the concept very well. I saw mesmerizing MOCs, some really complex and some simple but with really clever Ideas, that are way better than the official sets. But, price apart, there are lot of rules for a TLG set, one is the reliability, that is much higher than in my MOCs. Anyway most of my Lego knowledge comes from the official set and I learn something new from almost every one of them.

Guys, if You need kilometers of high quality Pneumatic Hoses for this incredible Dump Truck, go to blokbricks.com/contents/en-us/d2.html. Many colours, any lenghts. Easy to cut off and connect to pneumatic parts. I've bought them for others Lego sets and Lucio's MOCs.
